Beautiful hotel. Wonderful room with great view of harbor. Loved having 2 bathrooms!! Great location for us. Close to visitor center for tours.

Beautiful 100 year old hotel

The property is historic and beautifully appointed and definitely in a good location if you want to be close to the shops on King St. The lobby is exceptional with high ceilings and chandeliers and even had live piano music at cocktail hour. Although we were told that there would be complimentary champagne and crackers/cheese, we discovered a variety of cookies and flavored water. That was good enough for us. The Swamp Fox restaurant which is attached to the hotel was a nice place to have a predinner cocktail. Also, Starbucks is also on the ground level of the hotel, which was convenient for a grab n go breakfast sandwich and coffee. The beds were very comfortable and the hotel provides oversized robes as well. I was surprised at how noisy that particular intersection is well past midnight. Our room was on the 6th floor facing the park and close to the intersection. We heard loud vehicles and lots of people partying into the wee hours of the morning.

Location Room had 2 double beds. 4 people could stay in this room, but the bathroom was the size of a postage stamp.

Great location and we got a room on the top floor. The welcome reception was very nice. Property is dated and needs a refresh but for the price was great. I would stay there again

This hotel never disapponts. Highly recommend.

The location was great we were in the center of everything. Our room was spacious - we got the deluxe king size room. Nothing. Just be prepared to pay for parking. If you plan to drive your car in and out it’s best to valet. They have a set rate and bring your car to the front every time. The street is busy so this was the best option for us instead of trying to find parking and pay for every entree.

Very old hotel but perfectly located in the heart of Charleston. Bathroom was old and about the size of a closet. Staff was wonderful especially wait staff and valet.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. we enjoyed the complementary snacks periodically throughout the day. Our only concern was that the beds were it’s too small for two adults.
