    clean room friendly staff

We had a two bedroom suite. Rooms were splendid. The amenities were superb. The coffee shop was great. The shop was amazing. The staff were superb. Valets could have been a bit more helpful. The hotel was in a great location. Walkable to everything. The market and restaurants nearby were absolutely awesome. Highly recommend The Establishment.

The hotel staff members were nice but the cleanliness of the room and the appearance wasn’t as good. There seemed to be a patch of paint freshly done on the wall, it looked like a just rushed job and made the room look old and unkept.

Beautiful property. The coffee abs water station on each floor was very useful. We had a two bedroom suite which was perfect for our family of four. Will definitely stay again.

Great place to stay in the center of historic Charleston. Walkable to everything, the Emeline is like a classy oasis with a modern Southern feel to everything. Excellent everything with a lot of great little touches everywhere, from the in room turntable to the water dispensers on each floor. Highly recommend!

House keeping was merely adequate.Second day no clean cups, did not replace used coffee, sweet n lows or creamer. No clean glasses in room. Valet parking was way too expensive. Restaurant and service were very good. Front desk personnel helpful.

Dissapointing stay. Room was rundown with dirty counters, bathroom floor, stains on sheets and at night there was literally one staff member on duty at the front desk who could not help correct what we needed. Would not reccommend.

We enjoyed our few nights there. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Our housekeeping was done well after returning from our days out and about. There is a lot of popular spots within a 2-15 min walk of the hotel. Finding a parking spot downtown can be a challenge(we were there the week of July 4th) so that was very convenient if you don’t mind walking. They do have valet parking but we opted to save a few bucks and pay for a pay to park lot that is directly across the street from the main entrance. We would certainly stay there again and recommend it to others.

    It was okay.

The WiFi is terrible in the room and there was a dog barking nonstop in a room by us. When the owner was home the dog was fine. But the dog barked until 10:30pm.

What a wonderful experience we had at the Emeline! The hotel staff (Sheri at the concierge and Ashley at the front desk especially) were so friendly, kind, and helpful! We left there having new friendships! - The food at Frannie & The Fox was 10/10, as were the drinks! - the hotel is clean and the room we got was very spacious! Two king beds in their own rooms within the room. And the beds were one of the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept on! - the hotel is central to everything and the city market is literally right outside. We’ve already said that there is no need for us to search for another hotel when we go back to Charleston. The Emeline is the way to go!

We were greeted with a cocktail and a room upgrade. The room was very clean and comfortable. We loved the nespresso, room service breakfast in bed, and record player.

Both nightstands in the bedroom were sticky from spilled liquids. After wiping them down, the towels came away with black grime and dust, giving the impression that those surfaces had not been thoroughly cleaned in quite some time. The room itself was relatively quiet from outside traffic and pedestrians, but we frequently heard odd noises that sounded like metal objects dropping or bouncing on the floor throughout our stay. We stayed for three nights and really wanted to enjoy the property because of its excellent location, with easy access to markets, restaurants, and the main streets. Unfortunately, based on the cleanliness issues, we would not choose to stay here again. On a positive note, we did enjoy both the coffee shop and the restaurant.

Excellent location. Would book again. Suites are nice, plenty big, large bathroom, but bedroom is very small.

    Great location

The hotel looks nice but the front desk staff were not that friendly. We found a used band-aid in our bed, indicating the sheets may not actually have been changed prior to our arrival. The long hallways were a bit dank and the carpets musty. The overall feel of the hotel is nice though and the gym is very good for a hotel gym. The coffee shop downstairs is really good! And the location is perfect for exploring Charleston. I really wanted to love this hotel but for the price I wish the staff had been more welcoming and the hotel more cleanly.

Hotel in excellent location for tourists. Very busy spot. The hotel's bathroom design was not well planned. The thought of the open shower is delightful however, the showers are not pitched properly for the water to drain, and the bathroom floor quickly become flooded with the shower water. To make make the matter worse the flooring in the bathroom and shower is marble and is very slick when wet (I almost fell several times.) The bath products smell awful!!! The lighting in bathroom is awful and was difficult to apply makeup. I would not stay here again.
