Holiday Inn Express Charleston by IHG

It took a while to write this review for the hotel we stayed in. My complain is the toilet. There were two yellow stains on the bottom of the two sides of the toilet. I know it’s peer. It means nobody cleans the toilet properly. So disgusting! No matter you are happy or not to see my review. I must tell you what I saw. IHG is a famous chain company. I do wish you can develop better. Good luck!

The staff was very polite and helpful very professional. Property was well maintain,rooms very clean. Will definitely stay again in the future

It was vacation I did not need to hear the breakfast attendant carrying on slamming things around about how it’s Monday and someone didn’t do there job I was so happy to get a room there but that made me angry I have been in food service all my life and owned and managed restaurants she would have been written up or fired if I would have heard that especially in front of customers

Everything was good but nothing exceptional.

First room was still “dirty” from the previous stay. I notified the front desk and was put in another room. This one was much better. The bed was made, the bathroom was clean!

The hotel is older, very clean. There needs to be a lot of updates done, furniture was very worn out, but the bed was very comfortable. The staff was very helpful and friendly, we were confused about coming back to our room and finding the cleaning staff had been in and left clean towels but only made 1 bed lol. Will we stay there again, most likely not.

Wonderful stay! Close to so many amazing attractions & beaches. Staff super helpful & friendly. Breakfast great with even gluten free options. Pool was so warm. Beds and pillows comfy. Clean! Would definitely stay here again.

I did not like the breakfast which was not good quality. It needs much improvement with more variety and better taste.

We liked the coffee service. We enjoyed the breakfast and the nice lady that prepared it. This is a well run hotel.

Breakfast employee can’t keep up by herself with restocking food, cleaning, emptying trash, etc…Food gone before 9:30, not replenished, trash can overflowing both mornings. Food was mediocre.

I was disappointed in this facility. In the bathroom was a sign that said if you forgot an essential such as toothpaste or toothbrush they had them complementary. They did not have toothpaste and I wish I know before I left the property so I could have gone to the store. Additionally we had 4 people in our room and we booked that way, yet there were only enough cloths and shower towels for 2. We had to go downstairs to the desk to get enough supplies for our family. In hospitality it should be common sense to provide enough bathing towels for each person staying. Also, the garbage at the property outdoor was overflowing and gross. The staff was kind enough.

The water pressure in the shower is very weak, so it's difficult to take a shower comfortably. The hotel also feels very old, and the staff weren't particularly friendly

The pool was clean and we enjoyed spending time there. Breakfast was also very good with a wide variety of food to choose from. I particularly loved the coffee that was available 24 hours a day! Overall we were very satisfied with our stay!

We stayed in this hotel for one night. The check-in process was smooth. The room was clean and surprisingly quiet. The only issue we experienced was that the water in the bathtub and sink would not drain very well, so I was standing in a puddle up to my ankles while showering. We heard them working on the plumbing the next morning though, so maybe they fixed it. I'd say for the price, this was a good hotel experience. Also, breakfast was not bad.

Furniture in the room needs to be updated.
