The kitchenette was a great bonus, and the rooms were spacious. The bathroom layout was convenient, with the sink separate from the toilet and shower. However, the shower area was very dark, making it difficult to see, and it didn't appear as clean as it could have been. The sink was also quite small. The fitness center was typical for a hotel. Unfortunately, the pool was out of service during our stay, so we used the neighboring hotel's pool, which was much nicer. Homewood's pool area has very limited seating and shade, with only one umbrella and a few lounge chairs. Because the pool is elevated, it was also difficult to watch our kids while sitting nearby. We used valet parking, but the posted rate was $35 per night while our bill showed $39. It's not a huge difference, but the signage should reflect the actual price. Overall, our stay was okay. I wouldn't stay here again, but the outstanding staff made the experience much better. If you are looking to enjoy a pool area, this would not be the hotel for you.

Will be staying again!

Pool & room, clean. Only walked through the gym but it seemed clean too. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. One of the best we've had throughout the years and we've stayed in quite a few hotels. It was in a great location so when we visit Charleston. It's not a far walk to catch free shuttle into town & 1 block over from upper King St. Only thing negative was couch in our room..very out dated.
-
I personally would not stay there again . For the rate per night , much more beautiful centrally located hotels to stay at in charelston.

Breakfast was fantastic. Location fantastic. The room could have been cleaner but it wasn’t terrible. The pool was adequate, but was not spectacular.
-
The location was great. The included breakfast was very good. The valet was very kind.
-
The room was clean enough but the bathroom had some moldy spots and our extra bedding for the pullout couch was stained and full of granola crumbs. We did have new bedding b rough up to us easily.
-
Great spot, right off of King street. A little far north but otherwise accessible to most everything. Easy to get Uber rides from. Property was clean, easy in and out. Rooms were nice.
-
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, allowing us to get a quiet and restful night's sleep. The breakfast was wonderful, with a wide variety of food, sides, and sweets to choose from. If we visit Charleston again, we would definitely stay here. Everything was great.

Great place to stay with a family. Rooms had a small kitchenette with a full fridge and ice maker. Nice to have a place to keep drinks and left overs. Walkable to King street and the DASH stop is really close for free transportation throughout downtown Charleston.
-
The facilities were very clean and the suites larger than expected, especially for a city. The location was great too. For our 5 night stay, I especially appreciated the large bottles of Crabtree & Evelyn shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and body lotion, ensuring we’d never run out. Shower pressure good. Ceiling fan over bed was appreciated!

Great location, clean, comfortable. N/A

Parking at this location is ridiculous ! They have meters on the road parallel to the front of the hotel that have to be fed every 2 hours around the clock. A huge empty parcel of land is also adjacent to the hotel but you not allowed to park on it . Therefore, you have to pay $40 a night for valet parking :(

The beds The staff was very rude
-
Valet parking area is filthy. The chairs are dirty. One guy sitting in one of the chairs outside had his shorts half way down his butt with his crack all over the cushion. Our mortise lock on our door was not installed correctly and would not shut without having to wait for the door closure to slowly close then pull very hard to close it. Then opening it was even more difficult. Breakfast is mediocre. You’d think bacon and sausage……nope, pulled pork and pulled chicken. Weird if you ask me. Room was clean but the fridge is loud when the compressor kicks on. Our neighbors door closure was obviously broken. Every time the closed it would slam and shake the wall. There was a lot of in and out in that room so it got excessive. DON’T STAY IN 314.

The beds were very uncomfortable and the coach was so low to the floor making it diffucult to get on and off of.
