Poor customer service

Room had a terrible smell

We entered the lobby and the first thing we noticed is the carpet in the lobby was disgusting the wall behind the front desk had a hole in it , on the way to the room the carpet in the hallways were also filthy with stains the room doors were chip with paint when we entered the room it smelled of mold and mildew the living room couch was ripped up and smelled like urine with stains all over it , I returned to the front desk to checkout and request my refund but they still charged my account I left two messages for the front desk manager and she has still not return my call !

Close to Carowinds for us, had breakfast so saved us lots of money, because we family of 7. Beds in room 402 was very comfortable. Clerk at night wasn't very friendly, the king bed in room 416 is broken has big dent in middle, room 402 smelled like old wet clothes from day 1, like the carpet maybe was cleaned but didn't get dry. Water wouldn't shut off in the tub all the way, toilet had hair on it right under the lid. But all in all it did save us some money so we looked at the bigger picture....

Nothing very dirty and had a bad smell.

This hotel is so old, the floor carpet is so old, the batt tub super old. Worst of all I saw roaches running around which was so nasty. The hotel doesn't have a good fresh smell. To cut a long story short they need to replace a lot of things

It was unnecessarily dirty. Floors were filthy with stains everywhere. Carpets were sticky in the room and felt wet. Smelled like stinky feet in the room.

Nothing When we got there the elevators were not working, our hotel keys were not working

Hotel is apparently being updated, as the parking lot is full of construction storage trailers. And I counted at least four vehicles (broken down) in the lot. The side door access was useless. Key card would not work. When I asked the front desk for help, I was essentially told "yeah its been broken a while". Meanwhile, my wife & dog are getting rained on trying to open the door. The carpet was AWFUL throughout the hotel. Hopefully they are planning on replacing it? The shower head barely gets water through it. I had better pressure outside in the rain. Bed was fairly comfortable. The pillows sucked. Again, if you're looking for a budget friendly place to lay your head,this is it. Nothing else. Nothing more.
