Residence Inn by Marriott Charlottesville Downtown

Breakfast is very basic. Coffee frequently runs out during the breakfast hours. Coffee in lobby after breakfast hours yanked early each day. Sectional sofa was replaced with a single sofa which made for awkward television viewing and conversation. Seems that standard furniture was replaced due to wedding groups using rooms for group events. I would prefer not to be on a wedding group floor in the future.

Clean, friendly and informative staff; good breakfast with many options. Parking was full but garage access was available.

Parking was easy in and out process. The room was great. Clean and comfortable. Very close walking distance to historic downtown. We will stay here again

The breakfast exceeded expectations—waffles, cereal, yogurt, scrambled eggs, breakfast sandwiches, fruit, plus various juices, coffee and tea. The A/C worked very well, but it had a humming noise to it. Not loud enough to disturb sleep, and if you like white noise, it would probably be perfect for you.

Room was huge and had evreything you could need

Breakfast was an excellent buffet. The lounge area was very nice. The room was great and the kitchen was very nice. The best way to describe everything is to say this is a Marriott Hotel. Excellence is the Marriott way. The parking was less than desireable, although it didn't create any major problems, only inconveniences. Considering it is located in the heart of the University of Virginia, parking must be at a premium.

A “fine” stay. I booked this property for the pool which was out of order. Staff not engaging or helpful other than the lovely breakfast area gentleman. Room was very good and met our needs.

We have stayed at this Residence Inn numerous time and the rooms are always clean and staff wonderful. It's a great location with great restaurants and small breweries nearby.

My suite was very clean and comfortable, with a good bed and well-appointed, convenience oriented room layout. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking and a little entertaining. The staff was helpful, friendly, and personable. My stay was perfect!

Great location and within walking distance to a lot of restaurants and entertainment. Rooms were very spacious and clean. Breakfast was good, but don’t go late, there was minimal selections left. The pool was nice, but the water was cold.
