Comfort Inn Chester - Richmond South

Hotel is going through renovations. Pool is also closed. I would have picked a different hotel if I knew

Hotel outside looks decent, but inside it's a nightmare. Carpets in hallway and elevator are old, dirty and sticky. Elevator buttons didn't indicate where you going and where actually you are. Carpet in room are cleaner but sticky too. Toilet bowl are so low, so my ⚾⚾ were touching surface of water. Bedding was decent and clean and towels too. We decided not have a breakfast there 🤢.

Pool was drained for maintenance. Breakfast area being remodeled so breakfast selection limited. Remote didn't work for TV and 2nd remote didn't talk to TV either. Not expensive, so okay overall

Dirty, smelly, bad customer service

Pool was closed and empty, broken handles on drawers in room, remote didn't work, lobby was under construction, no mention of breakfast or signs for alternate breakfast spot, odd smell in hallways and room, rug was dirty and stained in several places.

It is currently under renovation, so only grab and go for breakfast items. Very quite and convenient to Interstate.

Bed and sheets clean and very comfortable comfortable!

We chose this hotel due to the breakfast and the pool. We ate a good breakfast the 1st day of our 4 day stay. No one bothered to let us know they were going to tear their eating area out and we were left with cereal and toast so we had the cost of eating breakfast away from the hotel. Out first room was horrible. Night clerk would not do anything to get us moved to another Room. Day shift moved us to another room and upgraded us which was a plus. Pool that was on the internet looked like it had not be operational for several years.

The hotel staff were excellent and the room was very good, but the cleanliness of the elevator and common areas was terrible. Also, they don't warn you that the pool isn't working; they really should mention that before you pay.

It’s a good hotel for how much the rooms are.

Convenience to our travel No complaints

They are having renovations. No pool. No breakfast. Only 1 elevator works. 1st room tv, a/c, fridge did not work. Second room was all good except tub did not drain. We have stayed there a few times but that over a year ago. If we knew they were having construction we would have stayed elsewhere. From now on I’ll call the hotel before I book & if they are having construction we will stay elsewhere.

The bathtub was stained black. The elevator by our room was broke. We had to walk to the complete opposite end of a long corridor. There was food on the floor in the elevator. There was food and debris outside the entrance on the sidewalk. There was no free breakfast as advertised. There were holes in the walls and ceiling. I would not stay at this hotel again. We stayed in a comfort in North Carolina which was far superior to the Chester hotel.

If you want to contract a disease or ever want to know what jail feels and looks like! Definitely book this place. They also have vending machines filled with Doritos only and they also have a gorgeous pool with no water in it as well as caution tape all over the hotel. The place is absolutely disgusting. They shouldn’t even be allowed to let people stay there absolutely disgrace..

The location It was filthy. There was VERY little housekeeping. There was trash everywhere. The floors in the room were not vacuumed. The toilet was not cleaned. The smell in the whole building was disgusting. There has been no maintenance on this building for quite some time. Overall disgusting place. They should feel embarrassed to even be charging for such atrocious accommodations

Location only Smells like weed. People going in and out and lingering by back doors, seems shady, smoking weed by door. Fairly certain they were selling drugs. Back doors didn’t close securely, no need to use key card to enter, unsafe.
