Courtyard by Marriott Bethesda/Chevy Chase

Checked into one room and the door would not unlock with the key that was provided. Walked back to the front desk and was provided with another key that still did not open the door. Went back to the front desk and received a key for another room on another floor. That room was had a strong odor of mildew and just did not appear clean. Went back to front desk and received another room assignment. Room was just as smelly but at that point I was over returning to the desk and was only going to be in the room for the night! Took my son to the pool and there were no towel’s readily available. When front desk was called to receive towels they took over 25 minutes to bring them to the pool! Needless to say I was not impressed with this Marriott property. I liked Marriott previously because any property I had gone too was clean! I was greatly disappointed and will not look to book at a Marriott hotel as my first choice again!

The hotel is convenient located across from shops and restaurants. The Metro station is not far and the area around it is pleasant. I was visiting American University. It was easy to take the metro from Friendship Heights to Tenleytown-AU Station and take the shuttle to AU.

Nice hotel with friendly helpful staff. Great location with easy access to metro and major roads. Excellent breakfast at a great price. Will definitely come back!

Short walk to metro. Room was large and comfortable. Staff were pleasant. No good restaurants nearby.

The property is not kept up! No air conditioning in the hallways or elevators! Our air conditioning in our room was broken and it was first week of July 104° in Bethesda!!! Not acceptable! When we moved to a room that had air conditioning, the water was not going down the bathroom sink!

Close to AU and Georgetown

Great stay!! Minor issue the bathtub was draining very slowly. Otherwise great staff and clean hotel and food in inhouse restaurant was also fast and tasty!!

Laverne’s bubbly personality was infectious! Tonny at the front desk was awesome and quite helpful during our stay. Elevator wait time was problematic and the fact you couldn’t take the stairs very easily or at all was a little frustrating. Location is great. Neighborhood is lovely. Overall good stay.

The location is perfect for visiting family in area. Also convenient to Metro, and restaurants and shops in area. This was my 5th or 6th time staying here and is a favorite hotel to stay at in the area.

The size of the room was excellent. It was comfortable and spacious enough. The bathroom was the perfect size. The staff was very pleasant and answered all of my questions. I am allergic to feather pillows. I was afraid to use the pillows because I didn't know what they were made of. There was no conditioner in the conditioner bottle. (I could've asked about both of those issues.)

The neighborhood was beautiful! Property felt safe and hosts were kind! Rooms were very small and the pet fee when they won't clean up or room if there's a dog in there

Location & housekeeping did a nice job tidying up our room everyday Expensive parking for hotel guests and it would be nice to access stairs from the 2nd floor to the lobby. We never found them.

Exceptional

The staff was friendly and We enjoyed the pool Not a very good value for the price. With the price of the room, breakfast should be included. Not to mention you have to pay $30 for parking in addition to the price of the room.
