Room was very good, air conditioning in room on very hot days (90’s and 100 plus days) was very good. However, they had to turn off or down air conditioning in hallways on 100 plus days due to power usage problems so it was hot in those places then. But when outside temperatures came down to the lower nineties and eighties outside after those few days they were able to restore hallway air conditioning to normal. All was good in room at all times.

Rude receptionist, elevators went out, filthy dirty, no towels at pool. Breakfast omelet was good though and close to metro

The service desk was not friendly, parking was an extra $30, search criteria for a hotel was that the hotel offered parking as a guest, not for a charge; otherwise, I would have selected a shipper hotel and paid for the parking separately.

Hotel located at the boarder of DC area, about 30 - 40 minutes subway ride to White House and National Mall area. Hotel is right next to the Red Line subway station. Hotel has underground direct access to the subway station., which is super convenient when we visited the city during its hottest days of the year. The hotel offers complimentary happy hour from 5:30- 7:30, with decent options for both drinks and snacks. The included breakfast is not buffet style, but good enough for a free breakfast . We visited the city on a very hot day, the hotel AC system for the public area does not work.

First parking is confusing and they had two elevators only and one was broken for 3 days. The hall, lobby and restaurant had no AC so you sweat before you step out of the door. Staff were nice and helpful but will never stay there again.

Could not get out of the parking after checking out. Apparently there was a problem with checking in in June and checking out in July. It made us late for another attraction, disappointing!

I am writing to share several unpleasant experiences during my recent stay, which contrast sharply with my previous positive experiences at other Embassy Suites locations. Please note the following issues encountered during my visit: 1. Parking Logistics: There are no signs indicating how to access the building from the outside, requiring me to drive around multiple times and ultimately ask a police officer for directions. Furthermore, there is no signage or designated parking area inside the garage to know where to go. 2. Baggage and Navigation: No luggage carts or baggage services were available. Additionally, there was no signage indicating that the front desk was located on a different floor from the parking garage. 3. Check-In Experience: The reception area had no air conditioning and minimal staffing, which does not reflect the standard expected for the price and rating of this hotel. Staff was very polite and apologetic. 4. Restaurant Quality: The restaurant area was extremely hot when I visited around 9:45 PM. The food presentation was poor, and the dining area and tables were dirty. There was also no decor celebrating the 4th of July holiday and our nation’s birthday!!! 5. Breakfast Service: The breakfast area also lacked air conditioning. The staff appeared frustrated, food presentation was subpar, and the area lacked holiday decorations. Furthermore, I felt rushed while getting my food, experienced long lines, and had to clean my own table, by which time my breakfast was cold. Given my history with your brand, I am very disappointed by the lack of cleanliness in food area and stairs, service, and climate control at this location was awful. I hope these matters will be addressed. I appreciate your response since I went to discuss with restaurant staff and they said, nothing they can do, they are short staff. I let front desk know, but she referred me back to the restaurant.

Nice hotel, great amenities, convenient area. Only complaint- housekeeping room service was not responsive at all - never brought item I requested

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

Unprofessional , Horrible Communication, charged my card without my knowledge or consent and did not try and help iron out or figure it out . One of my most horrible experiences of my life . I would not ever and I mean ever book with place again !

Excellent place to stay! Hopefully soon more stores will come back to the mall. Parking was cheaper than most hotels in the area! I would recommend this hotel because of cleanliness and walkable to other shops and restaurants.

The pillows were way too mushy. Otherwise the stay was excellent.

We loved that the parking garage is hooked to the hotel and you can validate your parking at the desk and have in and out privileges. The pool was fun for the kids, even though the hot tub jets were broken, and the breakfast was very good! We had a little bit of an issue with our first room with a king bed smelling like marijuana, but were moved to another room that had two queen beds because that is all that was available. But the lady at the desk was extremely helpful and we made it work. The reflective coating on our mirror was peeling off so the wires were all showing through the glass and there was no lock on the bathroom door. Other than those few minor hiccups, the stay was very nice and we would definitely stay again.

I liked the bed. It was very comfortable. The lobby was nice. The omelet station for complimentary breakfast was good. The elevators and escalators would stop working multiple times during the day. The showerhead was rusty and fragile and didnt work properly. There was hair in the sink and tables couldve have been cleaner and dusted. The mini fridge was wobbly. No trash bags in any of the trash cans. The dining table was on wheels but wheels couldn't be locked to keep it from rolling around. There were no stores in the building so the pics in the ad were deceiving. If you went outside for anything after 9, it took forever to get someone to let you back inside the building. The complimentary breakfast was cold mostly with the exception of the made to order omelet station. There was no like welcome brochures provided upon check in or In the room with like menus. Housekeeping would knock once and then just come in.

Great overall. I recommend it for family weekend

Receptionist at our late evening arrival was great. Coffee pot in the room did not work.

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

They ran out of everything, food, towels (room and pool), and rags. The bartender made a joke about the demographic that was in the hotel and that was the reason they ran out of chicken tenders. The breakfast was horrible. The bar wasn’t even fully stocked.

    Good
