Nice balcony, no housekeeping

This property was a really unique and a nice change from a big hotel chain. Staff were welcoming & helpful. We stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite. There was plenty of room for 4 guests. We appreciated having a balcony to sit. The suite came with all the amenities we needed and extra helpful touches of information, navigating around for groceries, snacks, etc. We chose this property because it was close proximity to our friend we were visiting who lives in Andersonville. Hotel was easy location for pick up by Lyft/Uber and within walking distance to the ”L” (rail transportation). The only thing I would grade low is the mattress in the primary bedroom. It had sagged from use/weight of other guests which made it uncomfortable for me (103 lb female) as I sunk in it. The restaurant 2 doors down was convenient; our meals were good, reasonably priced, it is a very casual spot. On a side note, we had an ADA room. We didn’t need ADA, but appreciated it from point of view for our son, who is paralyzed and confined to a wheelchair. He would have been able to stay in this suite. Plenty of room for manual wheelchair to move around, counters fitted for wheelchair (not motorized) to get under and close enough to use microwave, sinks, etc. No carpet in room, which creates “drag”; “wood” flooring and tile bathrooms make for smooth movement for manual wheelchair. The room was clean and well maintained. It was quite and peaceful. I would recommend it to all my friends and family that are planning to visit the area.

Great location for us. While the hotel room was comfy( more like a small one bedroom apartment), there is no housekeeping on a daily basis ( we were there for three nights without service). This was disappointing especially given the nightly rate.

The hotel was great, but we had an accessible room and it was not as cute as the non accessible rooms I saw in the photos. Particularly, the bathroom was pretty inconvenient for 2 people to share because it lacked a vanity and 2 sinks. Other than that, the hotel was great!

The staff was incredibly friendly and responsive via text the moment I reserved and throughout our stay. The beauty of the hotel and attentive staff made me feel like we were honored guests!

Absolutely blown away by how nice this hotel was. The suite feel made it feel like my wife and I were at a home away from home!

every aspect of our stay was perfect, staff, service, amenities and the space itself. broke the mold in terms of expectations and we will most definitely be back!

Very clean and seems recently remodeled, loved the 12' high ceilings! Great view of city life from the balcony, this place is top notch with all the amenities, perfect for me and my two adult children.

I loved this hotel! It’s in a beautiful part of uptown Chicago (Andersonville- an adorable gayborhood), near lots of cute shops, thrift stores, pubs, and bakeries. It sits right across the street from a beautiful cemetery, filled with gorgeous old trees. The lobby is charming and welcoming, as is the rooftop deck, where you can see the Chicago skyline in the distance. The rooms are nicely decorated-tasteful, not overly adorned. Our room had a lovely balcony that we enjoyed. Beds were comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. Our room was near the elevator, and I was concerned it would be noisy, but it wasn’t. These older buildings are sturdy, and the walls were quite soundproof. Our two bedroom/two bath suite with kitchen was fully equipped and worked well for a four day stay with two adults children. You can even cook full meals if you want to. The hotel is certainly not cheap. You will absolutely pay for the quality of your stay, but if you can swing it, it’s worth every penny.

This charming , spacious, quiet and thoughtfully designed hotel in the center of delightful Andersonville was a perfect retreat for a weekend stay. We will most definitely be back.

We had an excellent stay . The accommodations were so clean and comfortable and the staff made us feel so welcome and at home . We wouldn’t stay anywhere else if we travel to Chicago again .

This may be the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The neighborhood is great, but the hotel is a repurposed apartment building and rooms have multiple bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, W/D, balcony. AMAZING. Clean, sleek, updated, perfect. I wish there was one of these in every city in the world.
