Hotel Palmeras Chula Vista

The area was very pretty and parking was very easy. Staff were very friendly and helpful when issues arose. There was a small leak in the ceiling in one of our rooms but that was handled quickly. It’s an older hotel so there was some minor wear and tear.

Probably wouldn’t stay here again was overcharged upon arrival and told I might be refunded in 5-7 business days. Most of the furniture was dirty the table and chairs were stained with white marks and that bed sheets were dirty, they looked like someone had already used them before us and forgot to change the sheets

The hot tub was NOT hot! And started turning green! Very disappointing! Rooms were descent but hard to reach the air conditioning to adjust temperature.

Had a nice vanity mirror but surprised by two roaches and a spider…feared to look any further

Can only think of one improvement, the power plugs in the bedside table nearest the window are worn out so charger contact not reliable. Otherwise fine and will select this hotel again. Very nice hot shower. Clean, convenient parking, no security issues, staff took delivery of many packages, and arranged for me to have a first floor unit to avoid lugging luggage up stairs.

Wasn't wait we were expecting based off of photos. The AC unit was in the bathroom so the room didn't get that cold for us. You could see stains on the bed skirts. The beds made noises every time you turned, mattress seemed very used and old. On the second day after us being out for most of the day exploring the town we came back and found a large spider in the bathroom. I was over the stay at that point.

Wouldn’t recommend to stay here. Windows were so thin you could hear voices outside. One window just slid open easily from the outside. Not safe. Lots of trouble with keys and room assignments with our group. Thought we would be ok with the place at this price but my bad- should have booked a better place.

It was an older property that has been partially restored and maintained which adds to its retro charm. If you are low maintenance in terms of your needs or just wanted an inexpensive place to stay like I needed for myself, then this place is a good choice. The only “negative” feedback I can provide was the door for my bathroom was unable to close because it looks like the locking mechanism needs to be fixed. Aside from that, I have no complaints. Property is close to the freeway and a fair number of dining options were close by within walking distance.

The pool was excellent and the cleaning service was great

I was charged when I was told I wouldn't get charged . I got a welcome email when I hadn't checked in . Call the front office and my reservation had been lost , they asked for my card to hold a room and told me I I wouldn't get charged . I cancelled . Then tried to ensure cancellation online but since I had lost my reservation online , I couldn't . Continued with my day and see a payment posted from that night

The tub was dirty full of hair and it was clogged it also made a loud noise when showering
