I was unable to even check in due to no staff on property. They even refused to reimburse my stay. Only refunding one of two nights paid for! Do not book here! Very dirty place as well.

Not one thing. No clean linens. Bedding was dirty. Not enough blankets in the facility or room. No soap in bathroom. Cockroaches. Filthy. Everything was incredibly dirty. Smelled terrible. Kitchen was not stocked with anything. Could not control temperature in room. Did I mention it was filthy? Not even vacuumed.

Room was filthy. Everything was stained. Men were blocking entrance to building, smoking cigarettes. Turns out on the men was the manager. I felt very unsafe. No access to the air conditioner, it locked on 75 degrees. I didnt even put my bags down. We were so uncomfortable we left.

There was enough room for all of us The second bedroom door didnt shut, there was holes in some of the room, part of the way was coming off in the kitchen.

Nothing Poor facilities and not properly cleaned. Besides that, I was charged for my stay, and on top of that, instead of just placing a temporary authorization on my credit card for the security deposit, they actually charged my card for it. I called the hotel, and guess what? The phone number listed on the Booking.com app is the owner’s personal number. He just doesn’t answer my calls anymore. I also filed a complaint with Booking.com. They said they would contact me within 24 hours, but it’s been 5 days now and I still haven’t heard anything from them.

I loved the location, was near everything I needed. The room size was perfect for just me. The cost of the room was okay. Was supposed to have had a breakfast buffet, but I guess our definitions are different. Didn't have breakfast available on my first day (8/18). The few choices were self-made waffles, scrambled eggs, and sausages. I would have been happy with cereal being available; but it wasn't. I gave up and stop even trying come day 4. The floors of the room needed sweeping and mopping; of which I did myself. A lot of mold in the bathroom. Didn't like they charged a $150 deposit and wasn't informed of it until I arrived to pay; website says $100 deposit. They kept $15 of my deposit, but not sure why? They're not answering any phone calls.

They didn't let me change my dates

No coffee or juice on breakfast bar. Pool was closed. Refrigerator leaked. Small bedroom comforter had cig burn on it. Small bedroom a/c had panel falling off. No coffee in room. Coffee pot was very dirty even had an used filter with coffee in it. Could not connect to wifi with password given. Very unhappy customer.

The front office was not open 24 hours, which made it difficult to get assistance when needed. On multiple occasions, when I asked the staff for help, they acted as though my requests were a major inconvenience rather than providing basic customer service. Additionally, I was charged a $150 deposit at check-in, and as of now, that deposit has still not been returned to my account. Overall, the condition of the property, lack of cleanliness and maintenance, poor customer service, and delay in returning my deposit made this a very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this property based on my stay.

Notified at checkin for $150 deposit(at a hotel, really). Not very friendly. Bathroom floor needed swept. Blanket had grease stains on it. Couch stunk(had go buy Lysol spray). Wanted to checkout a day early and no was there for over an hour. Another customer was locked out of his room and waited longer than I did. I didn't complain because I knew I wouldn't get my deposit back. Worst stay ever. Hawthorn should be embarrassed to have their name on this facility

Power in our town was out almost 4 days.

We stayed here while visiting Kings Island. The property was run down, but you could see the staff was actively working on it. We enjoyed having the additional bedroom for our son and the living room and kitchen area instead of just one room with two beds and a desk. It is close enough to Kings Island that I was able to come back midday and rest then go back to KI. The breakfast was available but with limited options. There were people hanging around outside that looked like they lived there, but no one bothered us or our vehicle. The staff was very nice and helpful, but they seemed a little overwhelmed by the workload. All in all, it was a great value for what we got and our son kept saying what a nice place it was.
