Holiday Inn & Suites Clearwater Beach by IHG

Location of hotel was great to beach and dining options. For being an older building it's was nicely kept. Jimmy's restaurant and bar served good food and drink. On the downside, we were on the 3rd floor. The noise from above and hallway was very annoying. And the gnats flying around inside the room were irritating. We enjoyed the pool and bar. The scenic view is beautiful.

The room that we were staying in is super small, the king size barely fits and it was hard to move around the room with luggage and all. The bathroom was ok besides being small, but the door kept opening so, no privacy. It’s says beachfront but there is no beach, we had to walk to the nearby beach. The pool looked nice.

Very nice and helpful staff. Parking convenient, in house restaurant was good. Balcony in our room faced the street so no view. Short walk to the beach. Room was OK. Had some mechanical issues, the second maitainance person was helpful and took care of it all. Non carpeted floor may need cleaning. Otherwise room/beds/BR were fine. Room rates reasonable. Short drive, but good walk, to get to the the shops on the other side of the roundabout. Overall, the location worked out well, was nearby to a conference attended. Would stay there again.

Our experience at this hotel was disappointing since arrival. The front desk employee who checked us in was unfriendly and unwelcoming. There was no smile, no warm greeting, and no effort to make us feel valued guests. We are a family of five and reserved two rooms with the expectation that they would be connecting or directly adjoining each other. We were assigned rooms 307 and 308, but they were not connected as expected, which was inconvenient and disappointing. Additionally, the air conditioner in one of the rooms leaked water onto the floor, creating a maintenance issue that should have been addressed. Breakfast experience was also frustrating. We understood breakfast was included for 4 guests (2 per room), and the additional charge for the 5th guest was explained. However, we don't feel that this policy was fair, especially for a family traveling together. More importantly, when we spoke with the restaurant server, we were clearly told that the breakfast passes included any breakfast selection. Based on that information, we expected our meals to be covered, but we were later charged separately for orange juice, lemonade, and pancakes. The information provided by the restaurant staff was misleading and resulted in unexpected charges. Communication and attention to detail were below our expectations. You need to keep a pair of sandals or slippers next to the bed and when you get out of shower, because the sand sticks to your feet, and you don't want to put sand in the bed

Beautiful. The room was nice, view awesome.

Front desk staff were indifferent and looked as miserable as their surroundings. They missed the perfect opportunity to greet and welcome their guests. The staff could use a good guest service training program. The elevators were in the same state as the front desk area. Room was clean and updated, bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean, sink and vanity were old. The view from the balcony was beautiful! Would not recommend this hotel it needs work overall. The restaurant food was good and the staff service was excellent. Would recommend this restaurant.

Overall no issues except the AC in the room was very noisy and the toilet bowl filled up very slowly.

During our stay for 3 nights. The hotel service was great and location is perfect and near pier 60.
