Excellent and relaxing stay. My family and I will certainly be back!

The pool there was some rough play that took up the whole pool, on Tuesday the hot tub there were kids in there unaccompanied by adults and they were jumping in it , lasted over an hour. I did love our stay and the hallways were quiet at night

The gulf view was perfect. The staff was very nice and friendly. The valet was very helpful. quick to get the car and there when you needed to get something out of it.

The Opal hotels on Clearwater Beach are priced at the medium-high level but really not worth the money. There are not enough staff at the outside bars so the wait for a drink is excessively long. Bar staff are unwelcoming and appear disinterested. Not enough housekeeping staff either so one day our room wasn't cleaned until 5pm. The spa staff in Opal Sol are totally incompetent and I won't bore readers with that whole mess. The hotel is supposedly new, yet our balcony furniture was dirty and chipped, the room furniture looked cheap and was scuffed and a lot of the general hotel amenities were poor. The one good thing was some of the food (although the menus in Drift and Seaguine have many of the same items) and room service was very quick and good. Overall, cost is way too much for what you get so we won't be back.

Opal Sands is sensational!!! Loved everything about it! The view from our room was of the gulf, the pool and the beach! The staff were amazing! We have never been treated so well! Everyone was exceptionally helpful, considerate and gracious! Everything is very well maintained. Rooms are beautiful and very clean. The restaurants were incredible! We really can't say enough good things! Highly recommend Opal Sands!

Great choice. The layout of the property , the view from my room(1008) The free upgrade from ocean view to ocean front for using Expedia. The bar at the pool has an attentive girl running drinks, there’s another bar right at the end of the beach called the sandbar and it’s great. I highly suggest getting your drinks from Keith if you wanna stretch your dollars on drinks, he poured up twice as strong shots as the others and called it a Florida shot. Loved that. The burger was great they had a gluten free bun and it came with cheese and bacon and fries included. Drinks were like 12 bucks. DURING THE DAY AT THE POOL THEY RANDOMLY COME OUT WITH ICE CREAM SANDWICHES, Klondike bars , nutty buddy’s free. The halls are stocked with bottles of water in a fridge for free. Free daily baked cookies on every floor. The only thing they could improve is instead of closing hot tub at 10 and opening at 7 am. Maybe do a quiet hours or open it at 5am so gym users can dip in after. That’s my Only complaint. Better clientele of people at this hotel too. Night and day the clientele.

Hotel was very clean with great views! We stayed at the Opal Sands and could utilize Opal Sol (sister hotel) ammenities as well! Staff from valet to front desk from housekeeping to waitresses at the pool we're all amazing people and did what ever was needed to accommodate our vacation needs! We will be coming back for sure!!

Another great stay at Opal Sands. Thank you

Booked a suite with kitchenette, but it was very basic. No utensils or crockery provided. Don’t order the pizza- we ordered from room service and it was inedible- about an inch thick with cheese and very sloppy. Carpets and rugs were dirty in the suite, chips were left on the rug from a previous guest and weren’t vacuumed. Lacked basic amenities for a hotel of this standard and cost.

The location and amenities were top notch!! Had a fantastic trip!!

Wonderful beach views!

Beautiful hotel and great service!

Fantastic place! Probably the best place on Clearwater beach. Right on the ocean, great food, and staff was amazing and very helpful. If we come back to Clearwater this would be the only place we’d stay at. We walked in and out of other hotels to see for future trips but this one by far has best location and beautiful. And each room is ocean front!!! We were in heaven!!!

My favorite was the pool deck overlooking the gulf. The morning shade while you watch sea life (saw dolphins each day). Free access to the trolley and bikes. Clean and beautiful.
