Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach

Very clean and modern property located in an ideal location on Clearwater Beach. The property was very well maintained and the pool staff were great. We had many days of on and off rain, which can be very frustrating, but the staff handled it well and quickly, all while being very friendly and people centered. I appreciated that the pool is beautiful and that the staff aren’t super up tight about the roles (e.g. some kids, like my child, had rafts and toys that we were able to use respectfully). My only qualm was around service at both the valet and the bell hop service. I know they run a tight ship and bring the car around quickly, but often what was missing was the friendly, customer first service, which made our initial arrival unnecessarily stressful. The day manager at the valet was very kind and friendly.

We had a wonderful stay at the Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach! The property was exceptionally clean, felt very safe, and is perfectly located within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and the beach. The views from our balcony were absolutely spectacular—we enjoyed breathtaking Gulf views and unforgettable sunsets every evening. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again!

Wyndham Grand was on the beach and within walking distance of shopping and restaurants. The beach view from our room was amazing to watch the sunset. The hotel was very clean and staff is friendly.

Lovely welcome glass of sparkling wine in the lobby, really good food at lobby bar (too hot on July 4th to walk to a local restaurant!)

I liked that I had a view of both the Gulf and the Bay from my room and the close proximity to just about everything you would look to do while in Clearwater Beach. I did not like that they charged $40 a day to park your car and that it was valet only. Most hotels charge a parking fee but $40 seemed excessive to me.

We stayed at the Wyndham Clearwater beach hotel from July 27 to July 30 for a total of four nights. The hotel is centrally located in Clearwater beach, close to the pier. Our room was not ready at 4:00 pm as per the check in time and it was only after inquiring a couple of times the room was available. We spent time on the beach and the beach chairs and umbrella included with the fee is nice. We also had the buffet breakfast at the restaurant downstairs one morning, which was not too bad. The biggest issue we had however, was with the housekeeping of our room. Of the 4 nights we spent there, our room was only cleaned once, which is unacceptable. Even then, our garbage was left untouched and was not disposed of. I had to call daily to get new towels sent to our room and to be fair, this was done promptly. I witness daily several cleaning carts along our floor in the hallway so they were there but just never bothered cleaning our room. We did not have a do not disturb sign so I am unclear why our room was not cleaned. This is a big disappointment as I have nothing else bad to say about the hotel except for this one issue. We were there with friends at the same time and they had the same problem as well so it is not an isolated event.

Really nice hotel to stay at in Clearwater. Super clean and the staff are so helpful. Our room was clean with a nice view of the pool and the beach. Definitely recommend to stay here.

Hotel is fabulous and in a great location. Perfect for visiting other areas but lots to do within walking distance of the hotel. Beautiful sunsets. Great gym.

We arrived at 10 AM the day of our check-in and had the opportunity to check in immediately, which was amazing. The beach is just one short walk across the street and there’s always an opportunity to grab two lounge chairs at the beach. The property and amenities are kept very clean. All of the hotel staff were friendly and helpful.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but our stay at the Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach was so disappointing that I feel other families should know what to expect. We booked this trip to celebrate my daughter’s 10th birthday, and unfortunately it ended up being a huge disappointment. From the moment we arrived, it felt like everyone had their hand out looking for more money. Between the added fees, automatic gratuities, and then another line asking for an additional tip, the entire experience felt focused on getting more from guests instead of providing great service. It came across as very misleading. The children’s activities were also incredibly frustrating. The resort advertised crafts and activities, but they would run out of supplies within the first five minutes. My daughter repeatedly missed out because there simply wasn’t enough available. For a resort that markets itself as family-friendly, this was unacceptable, especially on a special birthday trip. What stood out the most was how unfriendly so much of the staff was. It honestly felt like many employees didn’t want to be there, and they made no effort to hide it. The worst experience was at the main lobby bar. I ordered a cocktail from a bartender with very long hair pulled back in a ponytail, and she was one of the least welcoming bartenders I’ve ever encountered. She was extremely short with me, made me feel like I was bothering her just by ordering a drink, and the cocktail was so poorly made that I ended up throwing it away after just a few sips. Overall, the service throughout the resort lacked warmth, friendliness, and hospitality. Instead of feeling welcomed and celebrated during my daughter’s birthday, we left feeling frustrated and disappointed. For the amount of money we spent, I expected a completely different experience. Sadly, this was one of the most disappointing hotel stays we’ve had, and we will not be returning.
