Hampton Inn Colchester

The hotel and breakfast were both wonderful. Unfortunately there is major road condtruction in front of the hotel. Hopefully it will ne finished in a month or so.

We had a/c issues in the room. The tub drained so slow you’re standing in water while you showered. Wallpaper peeling. The toilet paper holder was broken.

Very Good experience.

The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was very warm and when I called about it, there was someone there to fix it within five minutes. Breakfast was excellent, as good as you’d get in any restaurant. Better probably! We’d definitely stay there again.

I wish hotels would put at least a small shelf on the wall beside the bed to put your glasses on when you get into bed, if it doesn't have a side table on both sides.

This was okay stay for the Hampton, not the best but acceptable. Interior is kind of dark. Nice fireplace.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was very helpful and kind. We were part of a large group and loved the ability to gather in their breakfast area to be together and play games and enjoy each h others company.

Staff was good, facility was very clean,The only complaint was on the setup of the room. The toilet paper holder was not reachable from he toilet for a small adult (5'1"). The window coverings did not keep out the morning sun because there were gaps between the top of the window and the shade. Also in the summer heat, the temp was not consistently below 70 at nite even though the thermostat was set below 70 making sleeping for women uncomfortable.

A big choice for breakfast and everything was delicious. Clean room and easy parking.

Room was good , quite specious, breakfast was good . Best part is they have Costco 2 mins away .

The cleanest facility in the area and the staff was happy and helpful. Also great breakfast choices too.

Room: we were on the 5th floor and it smelled like dog. Upon entering our room, it also smelled like dog. The room was dated and not clean. Staff: we had to leave 1 day early; i went to check out and because we booked through a 3rd party: they would not allow early checkout (why?) why leave the room vacant for a day? Did staff remember to check me out the next day? Parking: we arrived after 9pm each evening and had to park down the hill in back of the hotel and take 2 separate elevators to reach the room. It was not convenient. Breakfast: fresh hash browns made with real potatoes, good.

We have been staying at this property regularly for the past 15-20 years and it has always usually up to the standards we expect. The property is clean and the staff is friendly as always. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the fact that they did not offer waffles at breakfast during our stay. Never has that happened to us before and frankly, it made us reconsider coming back again next time. The quality of the breakfasts was usually one of the main reasons why we picked this hotel and unfortunately, on this trip, it was below our expectation.

Quaint cute small towns all around with excellent coffee! The room was good - the bed was too soft for my liking and the water pressure wasn’t the best.
