We were informed that the entire hotel has no hot water. While we understand that unexpected maintenance issues can happen, not having hot water is a major inconvenience and something guests should be made aware of before check-in. To make matters worse, the TV in our original room was not working. We were then asked to pack up all of our belongings and move rooms. Traveling with four boys, changing rooms at nearly midnight was incredibly stressful and inconvenient. After getting settled into the new room, we discovered that the TV in that room wasn’t working either. Although we appreciate that your staff offered us a refund or the option to stay at another hotel, neither was a realistic solution at nearly midnight with four children. By that point, we were exhausted, and moving our family to another hotel simply wasn’t practical. I do want to recognize the front desk associate who helped us tonight. She was beyond kind, patient, and genuinely tried to help in every way she could. None of our frustration is directed at her. She handled a difficult situation with professionalism and compassion, and we truly appreciated her efforts. Our frustration is with the overall situation. Between the lack of hot water throughout the hotel, two rooms with non-functioning TVs, and the disruption of moving our family late at night, this stay fell far below the standard we’ve always associated with The George Hotel. We’ve been loyal guests for years, and we sincerely hope this was an isolated incident. We would appreciate management recognizing the significant inconvenience this caused our family and considering appropriate compensation.

Staff is so friendly, design is creative and beautiful, beds were comfortable, bathrooms were clean and nice. Great location and free parking is an option. Drip coffee was expensive at hotel bar in the morning. Coffee maker in rooms was subpar. Swimming pool is like a fish bowl.

In town passing through. Great place to stay. We walked around the area and A&M. It was super convenient to campus. Very nice place.

Only had one bartender on a Saturday afternoon knowing there were 2 wedding parties there. Didn’t get in long slow line so went across to Juanita’s.

When we brought the bugs to the attention of the front desk, we were moved to another room, and our two-day stay was comped. However, the customer service delivered by the managers on duty was less than stellar. They played it off like it was an everyday thing. While they did offer to put our things in the dryer, to "kill the bugs," it didn't seem like there was any sense of urgency to solve the problem in the room. We were told that someone from upper management would contact us on 6/11. We never received a phone call. After a couple of days at home, watching her skin blister up, my wife posted to social media, and we finally got a response from the Director of Operations. They sent an apologetic email, and gave us a call to apologize for the poor experience. It was a nice looking hotel, but the next time we travel to College Station, we will choose someplace else to stay.

Amazing property! Stylish and pleasant on the eye right in the middle of some awesome shopping spots and a movie theatre. Would stay here again

The lobby decor was awesome We parked in the parking garage next door and the staff personnel gave me a note to hang in the car so I can leave it overnight but only when I asked The room was excellent and the bed was very comfortable, the noise from the surrounding rooms were very loud and unpleasant especially the room upstairs we could hear the steps well into the night … the pool was very small( we didn’t have a spot to sit )maybe 10 loungers available and they were all taken and in an awkward spot the restaurants around it see you swimming while they’re eating … not the best considering how nice the rest of the hotel is

The only issue I had with the room was that it had a very strong musty smell in the room which I reported at checkout.

I tried to cancel my third night’s stay 2 days before Chechen. The hotel did not respond. I spoke to the desk clerk when I checked in, he said they would at least give me credit for the night I would not be staying. When I checked out I was told even that was not possible.

This beautiful modern hotel is set in a complex of multiple restaurants and businesses, making it very convenient. It's close proximity to Texas A&M University is also a plus for those going to games, etc. The on-site restaurant, Porter's, is so good we went there one night, had reservations at another restaurant the next night, cancelled those, and returned to Porter's! They had limited openings but gave us a table with no problem. The hotel is clean with low lighting and, I think, super quiet; The room doors are made of steel. Would return in a heartbeat.
