The Academy Hotel Colorado Springs

The Academy Hotel was very accommodating. Staff were very friendly and always willing to help. They emphasized to always call with any needs or questions. Restaurant food was very good but limited menu. Location was great and not too far from attractions. Price was extremely reasonable.

We had a couple of fixes that were needed in our room, but the staff were very responsive to get that done. The breakfast was nothing to write home about. I recommend making the additional purchase for the omelet.

The air conditioners, while being replaced, were falling apart

Building seems a little run down and rooms are not being upheld to a better standard

Bed was hard and ac wasn’t working well. Room could have been cleaner.

We were only there one night but the staff and room were great. No complaints. We would stay again.

We arrived on a Thursday afternoon and checked out on the Monday, housekeeping did not come into our room during those four days, the towels in our room were stained and frayed at the edges, some had holes . The bar had a poster in the elevator with yummy sounding foods but most of those dishes were not available anymore.Young man working in the bar: restaurant brought our food but no utensils we walked around and found our own . I had to go find him to pay the bill even though we asked him 15 mins earlier he was in the bar playing games on his phone . Only then did he tell us that we can’t pay cash and that cash is not excepted in the hotel, I did inform him that it was illegal to refuse cash , he shrugged his shoulders

We have stayed here for years and loved it. From the sounds of it there’s new owners and things have definitely gone downhill in the last year since we stayed last.

This place must have been very impressive at some point in time. I found it to be a bit dirty and out dated. Definitely would not stay here again.

The inside of the hotel needs some serious renovations. The complimentary breakfast buffet was a joke. The food was not good, and there was not even any fresh fruit. Also had to eat off of the cheapest paper plates in the world. Except the morning a bus load of people were there, that morning we had glass plates! The outside of the hotel was dirty with garbage on the ground. There were cookers running around and also ho.elss people who have paths in the grass behind the hotel. We stayed for a week and never got in the pool because it was so cloudy . The bar was a joke because they were out of everything and the restaurant did not have the quality of food nor the selection of food that was advertised. The room cleaning staff were amazing and extremely friendly but did not speak english. They deserve a raise though! Actually most employees spoke very little english. Would i stay again? Nope. Lesson learned! Stick to the names I know!! Not a horrible stay, but for the money I will stay elsewhere!

The beds were really comfy along with with the pillows. The staff was very helpful and kind to pets. The buffet looked absolutely amazing Room by the washing machine was a negative experience
