voco The Tiger Hotel Columbia, MO by IHG

I actually booked a room with the balcony/ patio so I was surprised I could not switch to anything else. I ended up waiting in the lobby and exactly at 3:00 I was called over because my room was Ready. I walked to the desk and the Same person that called me up decided to check in someone else. I could have just stayed dozing Off on the couch I finally get to my room and it is clean. The balcony/ patio view is of air conditioners on the lower roof and the side of a building. Nothing special but I wanted to use the space for coffee in the morning. The bathroom did have some water stains on the ceiling and the shower is a HUGE step up over the bath to get it. The air conditioner was extremely loud at night. I ended up turning it off the second night (in the middle of a heat wave) because I was there to take the bar exam and I needed sleep. It sounded like I was in the engine of a plane when it cycled off and I found myself jumping up each time. It is a cute hotel. Good location for restaurants. The air conditioner was my only major complaint.

Classy, old world hotel with a rich history and solid reputation that’s simply losing its luster. Have stayed here a few times in the past and this time was the worst by far!

Walking in not so clean i purchased room with city view i got room with balcony no city view at all not so happy about that not worth money i paid

Beautiful hotel. Very helpful staff. Room was clean and spacious. The restaurant on site is excellent. They also have a coffee shop with pastries. Location is great.

This was a great hotel. The room was comfortable and clean. Very convenient and close to many dining options.

Was not clean enough for the price! Instead of a 9.3 star review it should’ve been a 5. They must have bought that 9.3 star review somehow

This is a nice hotel, walkable to campus. However, they tried to ignore my Expedia rate and book me in at a considerably higher rate. What was worse, I had prepaid an Expedia deposit which they had no record of. I was able to show them my email as proof. They had no interest in solving this issue for me and kept waving me off, telling me to take care of it myself later on. Upon checkout, they send you a text, instructing you to text that you have departed and they will send your final bill by email. No email was recieved. I couldn't believe how unhelpful they were.

Bar has the best drinks around! Short staffed in the cafe so it was a long wait but the food was amazing.

This hotel was great for a stay in downtown Columbia. My only complaint was that the tv was hard to figure out how to get to channels once you turned it on. I wish there had been instructions or something. Overall we enjoyed the bar and restaurants and location. Hotel was a little pricey overall.

Very upscale hotel at an affordable rate.

Staff was wonderful. Rooms were big and very clean. Will definitely stay here every time we visit Columbia!

We loved the quiet and clean room! The patio was nice for hanging out too!

The location can’t be beat but the fees on fees on fees are ridiculous for mid-MO. And free parking is not free if valet has to be involved whenever we need our car.

We also contacted Expedia about these additional charges, but unfortunately we never received any response back. Because of this experience, our stay did not start well, and it negatively affected our overall experience at the hotel.
