They changed their parking policy between my stays and frankly that’s annoying. For the price they should do a better job with parking. The new way was a hassle and I was given no heads up before arriving. Restaurant food great, service really hit or miss. Ultimately, I had another stay I could have booked and went somewhere else for that time period. Truly a beautiful, historic, and convenient location. But amenities are lacking given the cost.

Awesome olace

The main benefit is that it is very centrally located and Columbia is a really walkable town. I did not rate the stay higher for a few reasons. 1. More than half of the trees planted on our patio were brown and dead. 2. It was odd that they had cameras on the private patio. 3. We were awoken at 6 a.m. by the smoke alarm going off and had to gather in the lobby but there was not fire. 4. I needed quarters for the meter early in the morning (on my birthday actually) and the front desk and the attached coffee shop would not help me - not even if I purchased something. I had to walk 2 blocks basically in my pajamas still to find quarters...I would not stay here again. They just don't seem to go the extra mile for their customers despite charging for that.

Valet was a bit pricey, but overall was a great stay! Price of valet and lack of other parking

This is at the top of the list in Columbia. Great location in proximity to campus, beautiful rooms, great bathroom. The attached restaurant and bar are also very nice. We will stay again.

Location was great! Very clean and close to everything. Expect to pay for the location. But if you don't mind that added cost, it is a great property in a very convenient location.

I actually booked a room with the balcony/ patio so I was surprised I could not switch to anything else. I ended up waiting in the lobby and exactly at 3:00 I was called over because my room was Ready. I walked to the desk and the Same person that called me up decided to check in someone else. I could have just stayed dozing Off on the couch I finally get to my room and it is clean. The balcony/ patio view is of air conditioners on the lower roof and the side of a building. Nothing special but I wanted to use the space for coffee in the morning. The bathroom did have some water stains on the ceiling and the shower is a HUGE step up over the bath to get it. The air conditioner was extremely loud at night. I ended up turning it off the second night (in the middle of a heat wave) because I was there to take the bar exam and I needed sleep. It sounded like I was in the engine of a plane when it cycled off and I found myself jumping up each time. It is a cute hotel. Good location for restaurants. The air conditioner was my only major complaint.

All was just amazing and beautiful and seriously not sure how it could get any better just that well done👏👏👏👏👏👏

Exceptional

Classy, old world hotel with a rich history and solid reputation that’s simply losing its luster. Have stayed here a few times in the past and this time was the worst by far!

Charming hotel, great location, very attentive staff.

Walking in not so clean i purchased room with city view i got room with balcony no city view at all not so happy about that not worth money i paid

Over priced for parking. Dishes stayed in hallway next to the elevator for a couple of days. No ice on our floor and no signs for ice location. Soiled bed linens on are bed. Main manager didn’t wanted to be bothered with it and didn’t apologize for it.

Customer service and bed Tv did not work

Beautiful hotel. Very helpful staff. Room was clean and spacious. The restaurant on site is excellent. They also have a coffee shop with pastries. Location is great.

This was a great hotel. The room was comfortable and clean. Very convenient and close to many dining options.
