Cambria Hotel Columbia Downtown The Vista

I love this place! This is my go to every time I'm in the Columbia area!

Loved this hotel so much!

Overall was a good place to stay.

The first night we were awakened to loud banging above us, suitcases slamming to the floor, doors slamming, loud banging footsteps, items thrown against the wall, etc. It continued for around two hours before we called down to the desk only to be told that the guests above us had just checked in about 10 to 15 minutes and to give them time to get settled, lies ( Just say you didn't want to confront the guests). The restaurant food was not good and was way overpriced for the portion size and non flavor. The hotel parking lot charges you $20 a day and doesn't have enough spaces for the first floor guests alone. They have valet parking which is directly beside the main hotel parking divided by some hedge bushes. They charge you $24.99 for a valet worker to drive your vehicle around the hedge bushes to the other part of the lot instead of cutting down the hedge bushes to have access to the lot they already own or lease. We were not impressed given it was right at the outskirts of downtown and close to USC and we will not be returning. The only positive was the tall young African American gentleman that was at the front desk to check people in and the valet workers. They were knowledgeable about the area and had kind attitudes.

The property is neat and clean. The location is near several restaurants within walking distance.

Valet accommodated for me when there was no self parking left. Made my experience bump up to a 11/10. We will stay here again!

My daughter and I had a amazing stay. We enjoyed everything about this hotel.

Clean room

This is a great hotel. It's close to the Capitol so not overly convenient to USC but very close. I was there with my son for orientation. The rooms. are exceptionally clean and I like that they don't have carpeted rooms. Feels a millions times more fresh. The rooms have very basic decor (not luxury) but that's okay. It was well equiped and comfortable. Overall, a nice stay. Staff was great.

My family had our 80th* Family Reunion and I wasn’t sure if I was going to make it due to job commitments. Fortunately I was able to make it; however, the hotel I was supposed to stay at was booked. Frustrated I began looking around the area and I came across the Cambria. I looked at Cambria based off the pictures from the website, only to look better in person. From the time we walked in the front staff was great. The young lady at the front named Kayla was wonderful. There was another young lady helping someone else and she was just as pleasant, based off what I could hear. I went to my room to put my things away and the room was just what I needed. Stocked coffee bar, oversized shower, a real couch, true blackout curtains, and I could set the temperature as cool as I wanted in that hot SC weather. I went back to the host hotel that the family was staying at bragging about all the amenities I had. They had a snack bar and pop machines, while I had a fully stocked bar and restaurant. Long story short, several of my family members ended up having drinks with me at the bar. I would chose the Cambria 10 times out 10. My only negative was the unexpected valet charge which really wasn’t that bad. I would chose the Cambria in any city, anytime. Everything was Alright, and by alright I mean ALL Right. I will be back.

Staff from valet and front desk were kind and helpful. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. Did not have time to access the gym or pool or restaurant. was surprised by the $20 a day parking but it seemed to be the normal with any hotels in the area. Would absolutely stay again.

Excellent find! Beautiful hotel for a great price! Staff was very friendly and rooms were very clean and spacious. I would recommend if you're visiting Columbia, its a great place to stay. Walking distance to anywhere downtown.
