Holiday Inn & Suites Columbia NE - Ft Jackson Area by IHG

The room was clean and smelled fresh. Staff was friendly and check-in was quick.

We feel we were mislead to believe that the breakfast would be free as the website said it would. Other guests were also upset. They also believed the breakfast was free. I double checked the website and it had the free breakfast taken off the website after the guests complained. Part of the reason we chose this hotel was because of the free breakfast. We had budgeted the trip for this.

Staff was great! Only stayed one night to break up travel. Room was clean, bed was comfortable as could be expected at a hotel, plentiful parking. Would stay again.

Great location for dining and very close to Ft Jackson. A Texas Roadhouse and Waffle House were basically next door!

One of the best hotels in the area

Worst Holiday Inn that I’ve ever stayed in. The AC is the room was super loud, pillows were as flat as pancakes and bed was too soft. Only one elevator worked and was very slow. Didn’t sleep well as we heard a train and road traffic was too loud. Walls are very thin and other guest appeared ghetto. Would not recommend staying here.

Great room, wonderful staff!

We travelled with a big young family. Portable crib was clean and functional, rooms were clean, 2 queens and a pullout was perfect size for our young family of 7

I choose not to return as I expect better behavior and professionalism by the staff. The maintenance man was nicer than the front desk employees.

Everything was great. Was looking forward to the breakfast buffet but no luck. They were doing A la cart which I wasn't aware they did. Other than that stay was great.

The front desk rep that checked me in at Holiday Inn & Suites Columbia made a stressful situation become more bearable, not because a room was available but because she was truly a calming person, attentive, thorough, and knew her job. Her demeanor was NEEDED and on point. I made sure to compliment her in person. We didn't have any problems during our stay and may be visiting more IHG hotel properties instead of Hilton in the future because the Hilton brand has apparently lowered their standards. I'm not only saying it because of this incident, but I've experienced other incidents this year as well with Hilton. Let me add this is a great location for anyone visiting Ft Jackson, SC. Especially for Family Day and Graduation to our new soldiers. The location is only exits away from the main gate. We ate good at some local establishments near the hotel as well. Very good location.
