Wyndham Garden Columbia/Ft. Jackson

The location was good. The managers were helpful when I finally got to speak to them. Staff were rude and unhelpful. They laughed at me when I was having trouble getting my reservation number up on my phone. They lied that their manager wasn't in the building when I asked politely to speak to a manager about a simple problem they were unable to help me with. Rooms were not very clean, and the on-site lounge restaurant wasn't good. We ordered our food, and they burned our pizza, and then it took an hour to even get our food. We asked for a refund, because we were tired if waiting. They did refund our money.

Convenient location to Fort Jackson.

The pool is unusable completely green. The Wi-Fi doesn’t work and property does not look like the pictures.

I love the location of the hotel. I'm a head housekeeper at my job so when I go to hotels I'm a critic. I checked everything, there was hair on my pillows like they just remade the bed. I went to take a shower and it was hair all in the tub and I mean long hair that is not hard to miss. The toilet was dirty and my mirror wasn't cleaned properly. I spent 93 dollars for the room and they take 100 more for deposit but they won't give u money if u are not satisfied with their housekeeping work. For the hotel to be beautiful on the outside the inside helps needs to be retrained. I will not be going back to that hotel at all. Please say it money guys. The restaurant inside the hotel isn't much either over priced for their menu.

Couldn't find a desk person at check in.

The price was great and there was ample free parking, (free) light buffet breakfast, a Lounge that sold all types of beverages and bar food. Plenty of comfortable seating in the lobby/garden areas, that was very clean with charging stations. Plus food stores, restaurants, gas stations i.e., actually walking distance. The staff at the front desk was courteous when I checked in/out and the cleaning staff was polite. The location was great and they also had a smoking section outside, off to the right of the hotel. Very quite at night, no loud noise. Family Friendly Hotel I didn't like that the pool that was green and looked dirty, but it was closed. Plus it rained inside my room, and I had to do the observation myself, since the carpet was soaked for two days, by the door, window and by the left side of the bed. I reported the issue, but no one returned a response/reply/call etc. I should have changed/moved to another room, because the staff knew the carpet was wet because they left a "white" bag that supposedly soaks up musty odors that I found hanging on the floor lamp-I took a picture). Who desires wet carpet in their hotel room? I didn't notice the wet floor, until I took off my shoes that night.

Disappointing

The bathroom was horrible. There was mildew all over the shower and shampoo bottles. The refrigerator was dirty. The sealing behind the toilet was ripping off. The rug by the ac unit was torn. The room had the smell of mildew and mold. One lady told me they gave me the room she requested to be moved from due to the odor.

Good

Room was dated, musty smelling and it was very small. Restaurant was a nice addition and staff was overall great.

Lo recomiendo.

Not very clean and the pool was bright green

I really liked the hotel’s convenient location, as it was only about eight minutes from our destination. I also appreciated that the hotel offered breakfast, which made our stay even more convenient The rooms were not as updated as they appeared in the pictures online. I was also disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. The bed sheets and towels had visible stains, which made the room feel as though it had not been properly cleaned or prepared before our arrival. I expected a higher level of cleanliness, especially when it came to the bedding and towels provided for guests. Other than those concerns, our overall stay was decent.

It just was not up to standard. There was mold in the room, The parking lot was being re-done and they were arguing with who was parked where. The experience was not ideal.

The bathroom tub had mold and mildew. The shower head collar was rusted, the tub and wall was chipped, the shower curtain had a lot of mold, mildew and dirt. The tub faucet was lose from the wall. There was a stain by the tub that looked like period blood or mold it looks reddish. The bathroom door at the bottom the plywood was separated. The bathroom room sink, the cold water handle was stripped, it kept on turning around. There was a lot of common areas that was nice. The lobby is wonderful, it's had a automatic coffee ☕️ machine that makes delicious cup of coffee. It need to be adjusted for the amount of coffee it dispense. Either use a larger cup or adjusted to dispense a little less coffee ☕️. The breakfast could has been better. The staffs at the front desk they were very helpful.

Location. I called the front desk the night before our trip and asked if early check in was available. Whoever was working front desk Friday at 11:00pm said yes for a 33 dollar charge on the security deposit. So we left early Saturday morning, to arrive and be told early check in was unavailable due to the amount of guests they had Friday night. Funny how the worker that night agreed and the day of we were told something completely different. We arrived at 11:47am. The front desk woman stated that possibly everything would be ready at 1:00. We waiting in the parking lot. At 1:07 I returned. I asked about early check in, and this time a different girl was there. She said “yes for 55.00 dollars” and the previous employee came from the back and stated “we won’t have anything ready. Didn’t you just come earlier? “ I said “yes but you said return at 1:00” she stated “ well nothing will be ready until 2;30.” When we arrived at 2:30, I didn’t even have to give my name. The key was ready. She asked to see my ID, confirmed, and went to give me the key. The original worker of course came from the back and said “check her CC”. Finally gave me the keys, and after alllll of that, I thought how could this be any worse? Let’s see. There was mold on the ceiling. Desk chair broken. Bathroom walls disgusting. Shower full of mold. Lamp with no light bulb. Now one might say that by didn’t you go ask about the room? Well after the lovely customer service I had already received, the fact we had to leave for a game in an hour, there was nothing I could do with no guarantee of a refund. This place is disgusting. The workers have no customer service experience. By their work ethic you can tell they hate their jobs. They don’t even have a uniform. No name tag. Nothing. Broken floors on the elevators. DO NOT STAY HERE.

We do not recommend this hotel due to area, old room, area around it smell like urine. This was not a good choice for us.
