Staybridge Suites Columbia by IHG

My husband and I frequently stay at this hotel when visiting family in Columbia. It’s tucked away from the noise of the city and it’s quiet and we love staying there

Love it my type of place to stay

From checking into Stabridge Suites in Columbia SC from clean rooms, pool, staff, breakfast, amenities made the stay feel like home. Thanks to All Staff whom made our stay Wonderful!

Very quiet, right by the interstate, and 5 minutes from downtown.

The location was just okay. The breakfast on Saturday was much better compared to Friday. Staff members were okay. Check in was chaotic.both rooms were not ready upon arrival at 4pm when check in at 3pm. Extra charges were given for parking. The one room that was ready had a horrible smell abd had to santitized again. The pool was not heated we only told this upon arrival. Desk clerk stopped waiting on me to help a guest who came from upstairs and just walked up and started talking..

Room was extremelyclean and organized. Breakfast was great! Staff was rude. Came into dining area questioning if I was going to pay for my bottle of water infront of guest as I was making my coffee. Stating guest tends to steal. Noise traffic from highway was horrible along with stray cats

It was very clean and the staff was super nice.

Breakfast was good, room was clean - good amenities. Staff were friendly and helpful. WiFi was a constant problem. Hard to exit to the main street - very busy street and not good visibility of on coming traffic

Simple dinner ( included) after 5pm Monday thru Thursday ☺️?☺️with alcoholic drinks if desired ?

The layout of room, very spacious, had kitchen, 2 beds and sofa. Large shower. Only issue was the air con unit is in a cupboard in the main room and was a bit noisy. Didn’t bother us but may bother light sleepers

IT WAS A COMFORTABLE SUITE AND IT WAS SATISFACTORY FOR THE 2 DAYS WE STAYED THERE AND IT WAS CLOSE TO THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH CAROLINA CAMPUS. BREAKFAST WAS GOOD AND HEARTY. I DID NOT LIKE THE FACT THAT I WAS BILLED $10.00 PER DAY FOR PARKING.

The stay was pleasant enough for the weekend. I liked that the rooms were stocked with essential supplies for the kitchen such as pots, eating utensils, glasses, etc. Everything appeared to be clean. There is good lighting throughout the room. The bed was comfortable. I would have been helpful at check-in, if we were asked if we needed linen for the pull out sofa, we didn't find out till we were ready to go to bed. I didn't understand the need to pay for parking if you are paying to stay at the facility. I could understand if you were having to park in a garage. Also, when I initially booked the room, I had some questions about the payment and the staff person who answered was clearly eating on the phone. I talk to people everyday and that is a huge violation in my office. It also wasn't as if the person finished what they had in their mouth to help me, but continued to actively eat while talking to me, Also, the pool was FREEZING. I don't mean slightly cold, I mean iceberg cold. You would think that an indoor pool would be slightly warm. Maybe the mechanism was broken, not sure, but was not pleased, I wasn't able to enjoy the pool.
