The Lantern Columbia

What an incredible hotel! This is a must stay if you are in Columbia, SC. The location is super convenient to downtown points of interest; the staff is the best! A beautiful hotel, super clean and trendy. We loved the concept and we would definitely stay here again. Loved everything about it!

We loved this hotel. It was stylish and perfectly spotless. The staff couldn't have been friendlier or more willing to help with anything we needed. The location was great for accessing U of SC easily. The restaurant and coffee bar were great and we appreciated the coffee and water stations on each floor. I only had two minor issues. Housekeeping was very light. They dropped off new towels daily but didn't even clear old coffee or water cups from the nightstand. We requested full service on the fourth day, which they happily accommodated. The other issue to note is street noise from the live music venue late at night. It's no fault of their own, but definitely made it harder to sleep Thursday thru Saturday nights. To deal with this issue, next time I will request a room facing the back- then this hotel will be a perfect stay! We'll be back!

Another amazing stay at The Lantern! The warmth of the staff makes it my first choice when I come to town. The beds are super comfortable and the showers are nice and spacious with lovely smelling “warm oak” amenities. I love that there are coffee/tea and water stations dotted around each floor.

We had an excellent overnight stay at The Lantern. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the entire hotel was clean and inviting.

Second stay here and again we really enjoyed it. We had a great room in the tower with lots of natural light, lovely bathroom and comfortable bed. We loved the common area spaces although it was too hot to have the “garage” doors open to the outside.

Loved this hotel; rooms were perfect and the style was top-notch.

Stayed with family for 1 night on the way from Ohio to Hilton Head. Everything was perfect. Easy check in, easy valet parking. Rooms are brand new and clean. Onsite dining was also great. Up scale and modern at a reasonable price. Gambled it would be nicer than similarly priced hotels outside of town and was correct. You won’t regret staying at The Lantern.

Staff was unfailingly congenial. Would not stay there again-----too many design/construction flaws that we found maddening-----they may not bother you at all.

Beautiful and perfect location

The whole experience was perfect from pulling in to leaving. The check process was so easy & quick. The room was the best I've ever stayed in. The shower was the most AWESOME. The property was very well maintained. It was overall the best experience I've had

The experience at the lantern was absolutely phenomenal. It was conveniently within walking distance to man restaurants and shopping. The staff was attentive and radiated a positive aura. Would most definitely stay here again.
