Shadowlawn Bed & Breakfast

It was the cutest experience. It’s not a stay it is an experience. The host is truly the most beautiful person full of history and stories. Every single thing in this house has a story and I enjoyed learning so much during the tour. The breakfast was amazing and a beautiful spread. I can never stay at a hotel after this. I will always look for bed and breakfast first. Oh! And so many photo opportunities all around the house in porch and yard. It was perfection. Also not haunted 🤗

This was our first stay at a B&B and will consider them in future travels over crowded hotels.

The property itself is such an amazing piece of history and a lovely place to stay. The hostess, Ms Burnette was incredible kind and welcoming, and she's an amazing cook who makes you feel right at home with her home cooked breakfasts. This place and herself deserve higher than a 10/10 so I'd give it a 20/10. Absolutely nothing.

Absolutely magnificent home! Years and years of loving curation provide pure eye candy for visitors while lending a true element of grandmacore nostalgia, exhibiting decades of a life well lived in every available space!! The host, Burnette, is a lovely lady and greets you with the warmth of a grandmother, happy to welcome you in with a cup of hot tea! Breakfast was a scrumptious homemade quiche and cherries jubilee! We look forward to returning!!

Room was well appointed and well cared for

No ammenities within walking distance. Have to driving into town for dinner. Harvey's was an excellent choice for dinner.

The experience @ Shadowlawn was wonderful. Burnette is a wonderful hostess who has a passion for her home & providing a first class experience for her guests! We felt so very welcomed. It was one of the best B & B experiences that my wife & I have had.

The beauty of the property was so amazing…inside and outside! Breakfast in the dining room was amazing with the spread of China and Silver!!!

The breakfasts were elegant and decadent. The location could not be better for the charming streets and ease of parking and getting around town. Our Hostess was gracious and made sure our every need was met. She’s also a delightful conversationalist. Televisions offer a very limited selection of channels but we didn’t mind because we were out and about most of the time.

Shadowlawn is an experience - just what I was looking for. I wanted to immerse myself in the South and its culture. The B&B is filled with eye candy, including in the guest rooms. Burnette has an incredible collection of antiques and an elegant touch. She couldn't have been more hospitable, and provided delicious and unique breakfasts every morning. I look forward to many more visits. I highly recommend it.

Shadowlawn was beautiful! Our host was gracious about our late check in and our picky child. She was exceptional all around! We can’t wait to visit again. Everything we needed was provided and the beds were very comfortable.
