Comfort Suites Columbus West - Hilliard

All in all this was a solid hotel to stay at. Nothing fancy, but exactly what you'd need for a comfortable place to lay your head down.

Getting to the hotel was a little challenge from my main road. Only one way in. Checking in the hotel was okay. Going into the room there was a bad smell. Had to buy air fresheners and candles for the room. The pool was close for 3 days.The breakfast was ok 2 out of the four days. Some of the meats and food were very greasy.The ice machine was broken.The coffee taste very weak and watered down. Had to go to speedway for coffee every morning. No one at the front desk seems to know how to work the wifi.

The room was clean just little stuff that doesn’t seem to get cleaned. Like picture frames that have stains on them etc. The pool was nice but definitely over use of chemicals in it. Maybe some more proper training on how to maintain a pool. Over all the place was nice. Would stay again.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Clean, convenient, and a good place to stay for one night. The walls are very thin, so you can hear everything from the neighboring rooms. If your neighbors are noisy, it can be hard to get a good night’s sleep.

Everything was great but there was mold in one of the rooms I was in. I had to be moved to another room and it was great. The other travelers in my party had the same issue in a different room. I enjoyed my stay after the room change. Stayed 5 days. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Exceptional

you get what you pay for. Nothing special. Hot and cold water opposite faucets, tv remote only worked partially, air conditioning/heater would not change temperature. Stuck. I slept in a freezing room with blankets or the register and extra covers. Note, I did not contact management to correct as I checked in really late and was too tired to switch rooms, so they had no opportunity to correct.

The room and facilities were all clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. It came supplies with large attached dispensers of body lotion, conditioner, and shampoo. Great value and excellent location. The staff at the front desk is a poor representation and face of the hotel/location. The first employee we saw the night we checked in was in sweatpants and a sweatshirt. I think in all my years of staying in countless hotels, this is the first time I have ever seen this. Then the next day, we saw two more employees also in sweatpants and tshirts. Incredibly unprofessional. The check in lady also really held up the line for check ins the night of arrival because she didn’t check any of the rooms to make sure they were ready before occupants arrived. This required to leave the front desk empty (no other employees there) and go up to the room to check it for every person that was checking in. They haven’t received proper training and that is evident. Other than the employees the stay was great! I would also recommend making sure the rooms smell fresh. Ours smelled very musty but otherwise was great.
