Fairfield Inn & Suites Columbus Polaris

Both doors were “broken” and propped open all night despite the front desk being aware of the issue. This allowed free access from anyone outside to enter the building and get on to the elevator without even passing the front desk (no card required for elevator use). The bed inside the room was so noisy, squeaked every time you move-luckily I had two beds and moved to the other. Lastly, upon leaving the next morning-I was briefly stuck in the elevator. It stopped between the first and second floor-doors wouldn’t open for a minute or two then elevator moved and doors opened. I drove by two days later early in the morning and noticed that the exterior doors were still propped open to the parking lot. Will never stay here again!

The air conditioning, either too hot or too cold. Cover on bed too heavy to sleep under.

I liked the breakfast, clean room, and staff. I did not like the malfunctioning traffic light to go straight.

Great location. Hotel was very clean, well maintained. Staff was excellent, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was tasty, and there was a nice selection to choose from.

Our room was extremely comfortable, with couch and table to enjoy relaxing. The bed was very comfortable, well stocked towels, and very quiet and staff accomodated our request to be at quiet location given I am a light sleeper. This had been my 4th accomodations this week visiting family in Ohio and seeing grandchildren shoot competitively nearby at the Cardinal Center. These were by far our best accomodations this week and the breakfast provided was superb. I avoid gluten, and have allergies so there selection was helpful, and the stocking of their food bar was excellent. The coffee was excellent. I will stay there again next year,

However, one major concern was the number of vehicle break-ins that were reportedly happening in the hotel parking area. While the hotel itself was comfortable, the lack of visible security made us feel uneasy about leaving our car unattended. Given the recurring incidents, management should seriously consider hiring a security guard or increasing parking lot surveillance to help protect guests’ vehicles and improve overall safety. If the security issue is addressed, this would be a much better place to stay

The pool smelled of chlorine so bad that it hurt my eyes when sitting in there. Maybe try to use less during the day and more overnight.

the oatmeal was like water, the fresh fruit was out and none left at 8:00. The bagels were hard and old. The bananas were ripe.

When staying, cars for the windows smashed and broken into. Not just one night, multiple. 12 plus cars. Staff seemed aware of the issue, but not proactive. Police in area also seemed like this was a regular occurrence. We were allowed to check out early if wanted but no other accommodations were made.

Cleanliness (4/5): Overall a clean hotel, although our room had a sofa sleeper with used bedding still attached. Breakfast (4/5): Many options, including hot food (eggs, potatoes, meat), fruit, oatmeal, waffles, cereal, pastries, etc. Breakfast meat was not great (ie turkey bacon, etc) but is fine if you are into the healthier options. Amenities (3/5): Hot tub not operational, very small mini fridge, sleeper sofa only sleeps one (twin size) Neighborhood (4/5): Close to Polaris shopping, nice area, easy access to the highway, one guest reported that there were a couple car break-ins (likely an outlier as the area surrounding seemed upscale and safe) Overall (3.5/5): Disappointed in hot tub, small sleeper sofa (with old bedding attached), missing TV. Was given a new room but had to return to desk because key didn't work. Was promised additional rewards points for the inconveniences but received none, even after giving the desk attendant my rewards number.

I will definitely look to stay at Fairfield on my next trip. The room was great and the breakfast buffet was very good.
