Holiday Inn Express Columbus Downtown by IHG

The staff was very helpful with parking . I had to go in and ask where I was supposed to park and with their being minimal parking

The staff were wonderful. The room was comfortable but really needed a new carpet. It was very worn and fraying at the edges.

Parking - I paid for parking when I booked but when we returned in the evening, no spots were available in the main lot. Since we had to park in the secondary lot when we left the next morning and they were blocking off the roads for the sewer I had no way to get out except over the curb

Perfect location for where we wanted to be, German Village and Brewery District. Our room looked out towards German Village. The hotel was clean although some parts of it looked a little dated and tired. Excellent staff! Parking fee was reasonable. Need to upgrade the elevator door. Looks more like a service elevator and we would pass by it by mistake. The hotel needs a little spruce up.

Receptionish Amanda was fantastic. So friendly and supportive. She made the stay. Shower door handle was broken, had been glue fixed but poorly

The things that save this hotel are updated rooms and staff. The property and elevator needs work. The staff is amazing. The breakfast was great with plenty of options.

The staff is amazing and so friendly and helpful. The location is perfect and much better for parking than having to valet downtown. The property could be updated, but the staff works hard to keep it very clean.

Hotel is located in a nice area with several bar/restaurant options within walking distance. We have a King room with a couch. It was very spacious. Nice to have a desk and rolling chair to do my work, couch to relax on and a comfortable bed. Breakfast had numerous options including several healthy options. I would stay here again.

The carpet was so filthy that it stunk. Smoke detector wasn't working exhaust fan in the bathroom wasn't working. We left within two hours of arriving because we couldn't even take our shoes off in the unit. It was so filthy. We ended up booking another hotel two blocks away and we are in the process of posturing with Expedia and American Express to get our money back. You should be ashamed of yourself. Holiday Inn should be ashamed to hang their sign on the front of this establishment. I've traveled extensively all over the world and this was one of the top three worst experiences I've ever had. Do not stay here.
