Secondly, the rooms are tiny and dark. They needed a desperate update, carpets were dirty and stained in spots. Walls were thin. Room service seemed to be available, however; our room had no phone. A 6 inch section of wire had sprouted from the wall and looks like it had been cut but not properly hidden. I had to request an ironing board from the front desk as there was none in the room. A room that sleeps four was equipped with 2 full sets of towels, had to request an extra 2 sets for a 2 day stay. Finally, the amenities. The hotel provides coffee, if they have it ready. Saturday morning, no black coffee was available. Sunday morning, the coffee appeared but there were no lids available. The breakfast buffet was available but the wait staff were not very helpful, I sat in the corner and ate breakfast with not one of the wait staff ever speaking to me or providing a beverage. I would not recommend this hotel as better and less expensive options exist.

The property was beautiful and perfectly located! Staff members LaToya and Kara were amazing!!! At the smallest inconvenience they stepped in to make the stay 100x more special than I could’ve imagined

Exceptional

The building is a historical site. The lobby area is beautiful. The room was spacious but very dark. The lamps had low wattage bulbs. The window did not allow much light to come in because it faced another building very close. Your view was the HVAC units. Not pretty. The restaurant inside the hotel was good for dinner. The buffet breakfast was way overpriced. It didn’t even offer what you get at a free breakfast buffet at some less expensive hotels. Disappointed in that. We stayed for three nights and had to request housekeeping. I guess that’s how it works these days. We won’t be back in Ohio again, I’m pretty sure, but if we are we won’t stay here.

However when the security accosted my husband and accused him of not being a guest and lying about checking our room that pretty much ruined the entire stay. The concierge were polite to us and offered us points to our Mariott which we never received. Was told the security lied to my husband about checking the guest name who was staying in our room and concierge told us he is always intense. Such a wild thing to happen!!!!!!! No way would we ever suggest this place.

The property is old and worn. The restaurant had a nice staff but sucked at customer service. The room itself was horrible, smelled terribly (smelled like feces). Just a horrible experience.

The staff were extremely pleasant and the hotel had a nice atmosphere. Parking however was terrible but that's not exclusive to the hotel, Columbus is just like that I learned this trip. For the price though, the parking lot offered minimal to zero security. If I'm paying $40 a night a guard or fence would be nice. It was essentially just an open lot anyone could freely come in and out of with very poor lighting. Did not feel particularly safe. I preferred the parking garage across the street which was not only cheaper but also had better security and was inside an actual garage.

Clearly this used to be a nice hotel, but it has fallen into quite a state of disrepair.

I probably would not stay here again. It was functional since we were moving my son into college.

The hotel occupies a beautiful historic building. The rooms are clean but with need for some updating. One of the two elevators was out of order. The restaurant was decent but not great.

Room smelled musty. Dated

Not worth the $300 plus rate. Elevator broken and our room AC was loud and ineffective. We had to move rooms.

My Husband and I stayed at this hotel location on August 2-3rd, following our wedding ceremony and reception. Unfortunately, our stay was not as wonderful as we had hoped, as the fire alarms went off three times during our stay in the middle of the night, and each time we had to get up and get dressed only to find out it was a false alarm. Additionally, when we woke up to go to the airport the next morning, we found out that the elevators were broken, and had to carry all of our luggage down five flights stairs. We love the Westin, but we were disappointed with this stay.

It’s a historic hotel so don’t expect modern sizes. The sheets and some elements were a bit shabby but the price was reasonable and the location exactly what we needed.

I found it to be a beautiful historic property. But the room was decorated an odd style. Not modern and not period. Two side chairs and they didn't match. We paid for a suite but the room was an odd shape and not set up to allow for setting. The view outside the windows wasn't uncapped old roof. Nice linens in bedding but the mattress was too soft. Front desk staff and parking attendants friendly and helpful. Could be a lot nicer and would be worth keeping the historic hotel. Modernize and keep the luxury features from the past.

Arrival was frustrating. Valet had two lanes of traffic blocked, and we had to circle the block three times before ultimately giving up and “self-parking” in the same lot where valet was parking vehicles. That meant carrying all of our luggage down the street and around the corner in nearly 100-degree weather. Valet service overall was very slow. When we returned around midnight another evening, valet appeared to be closed, so we again had to self-park and walk back to the hotel—something I definitely would have liked to know ahead of time, especially since I was wearing high heels. The room was probably the biggest disappointment. I specifically booked the Executive Suite because the online photos showed a dining table, and I had planned a romantic dinner around having that space. The room we received looked nothing like what was pictured and did not have the dining table. After bringing this to the hotel’s attention, we were moved to a room that was supposed to have a table, but it was really just a small cocktail table and still not what was advertised. The mini fridge was also barely cool and ended up spoiling our dinner leftovers. There was no microwave in the room either.
