Hotel LeVeque, Autograph Collection

I was surprised by how the employees were dressed during my stay. When I arrived after midnight, the concierge came out from the back office wearing pajamas, which I found very unprofessional. The cleaning lady was also dressed inappropriately for a hotel setting, wearing a crop top, and the in-room dining waiter was not wearing a uniform either. I would expect all staff, regardless of the time of day or their role, to maintain a professional appearance when interacting with guests.

Clean room and spacious. Breakfast was delicious.

The property was amazing and I’ll definitely stay again. The bed could’ve been a bit more comfortable. The mattress felt a little hard or stiff and I couldn’t sleep on my side without my joints hurting.

Excellent Hotel

Location. Usually service is extraordinary and the rooms wonderful. Service lost the reservation, the room had water on the floor, the temp was poorly controlled, king bed had standard pillows, no extra blanket in room

Beautifully restored and maintained historic building.

I love the atmosphere and how it was once the tallest hotel in America and just the history of it as a beautiful place to stay the food and everything customer service was excellent

Hotel bar opens too late in day

Property and the rooms are architecturally impressive and well maintained. Front desk staff with one exception were very unprofessional. We arrived after 11 pm and were told to sit in reception for 1/2 hour due to a “software glitch”- in reality (this was later admitted) the hotel was overbooked. Rather than admitting this the staff at that time put us in a 78 degree room where the AC did not and apparently could not work. We were offered a room with only one bed or fans in the room (by this time we had also been told that the AC was being fixed, a technician would come (no one came), and that the temp would drop. Over 10 hours it dropped 2 degrees. We were moved to another room the next night and told that they would look into a refund (no commitment of any actual refund). When I happened upon another manager who asked how my stay was and I mentioned all this, we got a retaliatory call from the person who offered to contact Expedia for a refund relating that we had contacted her boss and maybe she wouldn’t ask for the refund. A mess.

Very nice hotel, a little dated, expected a little more.
