The room was clean and comfortable but there was a window ac unit and no shade on the window. Closing the curtains for privacy meant blocking the ac. The room also lacked a full length mirror and had limited bathroom vanity space. I did like the laminate floors, the room was a nice size and the bed was comfy

Elevator was out and there were no ramps for my wife's rollator. Restaurant was closed. Breakfast was decent. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Minor issues: there were a couple of spots of dark mold in the corner of the walk-in shower. A bit of bleach, etc, could take care of that. Also, the furniture on our balcony was covered in a thick layer of dust/pollen. We asked that someone vacuum it and someone on staff told the front desk that they'd done it, but the balcony was never touched.

Spacious, comfortable and walkable to downtown. Hotel staff was helpful.

My room was really dusty the bathroom was moderately clean. The staff was great and the breakfast spread was nice for a continental breakfast. It was affordable and quaint wasn't bad for a one night stay,

Different kind of hotel which was a good thing.

This is a terrific location - walking distance from the state capitol building and a lovely main street. The rooms are really nicely appointed and the EV charging was a great bonus. All good!!

It was was very quaint and unique. Not the run of the mill hotel. Great mixture of old and new. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The lighting in the bathroom was very dim.

The continental breakfast: 4 on a 10 scale

The breakfast was so bad it was laughable: frozen pastries, stale cereal, and a couple hard bagels on a sideboard. The coffee was good. The location is great for businesspeople.

The fact that they don’t have a working elevator is something that should highlighted in bold. Aside that it’s a very dirty property with dirty rooms

Neat old building, nicely renovated Our air conditioner appeared to be on but didn’t cool the room. The continental breakfast had fewer choices than most.

All was nice and comfortable. Would stay here again.

The location. The individual architecture I was told there was a destination fee. Of 60 or so. For wifi, gym (not used) breakfast (such as it was). It was almost $100 cheaper to make a reservation through Booking.com rather than the hotel. The elevator was broken - again. The breakfast was stale sweet rolls, no fruit, yoghurt and boxed cereal. the coffee required a hunt. It was not with the offerings. The dining/bar closes at 9. The door was not locked at night.

While the bed itself was comfortable, the pillows were another story. They seemed old and worn out, and they left both my neck and back sore by the morning. The hotel would definitely benefit from replacing them. The biggest issue, however, was with the restaurant, "Granite Rest and Bar." We were told by the front desk that dinner service was available from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. We arrived at 8:10 PM, only to be turned away by a very rude waitress who informed us they were closed because the chef decided to shut down early on a Thursday night. Meanwhile, there were still people seated at the bar being served food and drinks. It was incredibly frustrating and inconvenient, especially since we then had to leave the hotel to find somewhere else to eat. The elevators do not work, so be mindful of that! Overall, the lack of communication and poor customer service left a negative impression, and unfortunately, I don’t think we’ll be staying here again.

Elevator of this 3 story hotel was out of order. Has been for months. It would have been nice to know when hotel was booked! Inconvenience as 1 traveler unable to do stairs.

Upon checkout I was charged a $20 per day (plus tax) “Destination Fee”. When I questioned what that was for I was told “A lot of hotels charge that now. It’s for free wifi, the free continental breakfast, and the bottled water they put in your room.”Very interesting because their website lists these amenities as “included”. So why was I charged for them? I am so disgusted with businesses gouging consumers every which way they can & relying on consumers just going with the flow & not saying anything. Unfortunately I fell into that category while checking out, but now I’m speaking up. Not cool!!!
