Comfort Suites Cookeville

Location was great! I have no feedback on the breakfast – I didn’t go to it. Staff was very friendly but you often have to ring a bell for someone to come to the desk. If you want shampoo or toiletries, you have to ask for them at the desk – they’re not just in the room. Overall the building/rooms need some maintenance and updating. It was fine, but the real reason I won’t stay there again is the parking lot felt very sketchy. There wasn’t a single time that I was in the parking lot and there wasn’t somebody lingering. Just an unsafe feel.

My wife was in the bathroom getting ready to take a shower when she told me there was liquid dropping onto her head. I immediately went down stairs and told the desk clerk that water was coming in the bathroom from the light fixture. She said she would send maintenance. On the way back up the elevator a lady with a toilet plunger was on the elevator and said she was staying above us and they gave her a plunger to fix it. Her toilet had overflowed. We left for the day and returning around 7:00 pm found the bathroom as we had left it 10 hours before. A floor full of towels wet with raw sewage. I went down to the desk and explained the situation she offered to get housekeeping but I was ready for bed. She then offered cleaning rags and rubber gloves. When I got back home I called the hotel manager and explained the situation. She said she would check it out. The next day I received her response. She said it never happened. Unbelievable, this is a situation which could have caused electrical shock to the individuals above us, a fire hazard as well as a biohazard in our bathroom. Apparently they don't understand the severity of the situation and obviously don't care.

This hotel needs an update and needs to be cleaned better. One wall had black dirt streaks on it. The staff though was super friendly and we enjoyed talking to them.

It was fine for the price. Nothing fancy.

Stained mattresses on pull out couches, NO provided toiletries, non flushing toilet- flooded restroom that leaked to room beneath us!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Property is just a bit dated

Our room smelled awful, very musty. When we went to front desk they knew how the room was and gave a can of room spray!! There were no other rooms available to change to. We were there for a softball tournament. Breakfast was to be desired. Staff was friendly. Bed was comfortable except they were full size beds not queen bed like they were supposed to be. We stayed in a suite so we enjoyed the extra room bathroom was a little small and was hot, not exhaust fan in there and we had to crank the AC down to 65 just to get the room cooled off enough, we also brought in our fans to circulate the air because of how stuffy it was. Would not stay there again.

Breakfast was good and staff was nice.

Location

Very clean

Rug was wet and very musty smelling

Spacious room and clean. Good breakfast & friendly staff. Quiet on corner except next to ice machine. Overall, good night's rest.

The staff was very friendly. The pillows were thin and very lackluster but the rooms and facility was clean

I would highly recommend this place it is awesome

Room was nice bathroom was a bit dated. Breakfast is included and enough selection to satisfy all.

What a positive surprise. This hotel was simply great. The room was perfect. Quiet cool and smelled clean.

It was what it needed to be- a good place to sleep.

Thanks for a great stay

Always clean and quiet. Friendly staff. Can’t be beat!
