Red Roof Inn Cookeville - Tennessee Tech

It is in a great location. Several outstanding restaurants in walking distance. It is past time for the owners to reinvest in the property. Rot around the window airconditioner. Stained bedspreads. Pool was covered,probably empty, in August. Damaged retaining wall. Moisture damaged bathroom door. Toilet wobbled. Fit and finish on the ceiling showed patched/botched repairs. Outside stairs were rusted with chunks of metal rusted away. The floors were perfect for a pet friendly place.

Very dated, semi clean Curtains besrly hanging. Needs painting. Very poor maintenance.

I liked the location. The morning staff was awesome, great attitude. the lady at the front desk in the morning time had just gotten off of work. She stopped and made more coffee for us. She didn't have to that, very impressed. Good coffee, too. The room was clean. Night shift wasn't as friendly and helpful. The floor in the room was cracked and felt like it was going to break. The pool wasn't open when it said on the website that this hotel had a pool. Wi-Fi was really spotty. My daughter said there were people outside that seemed like they were on something.

It's not good when you have to begin to clean I stayed 2 weeks and they don't not clean unless you begin for that

We never saw any breakfast because what I assume they were using as their breakfast nook was about the size of a bathroom. One of the 2 rooms I rented, the toilet clogged up and could not be plunged. So my family had to move into a different room, and although I booked this and used my card, we paid cash when we checked in. So we paid twice for this room, once through booking.com. And once at the red roof inn, because they also ran my card instead of us just paying cash there, I was told my card was only holding the room.
