Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Cookeville by IHG

The staff is SUPER friendly. The hotel on the other hand is a dump. Run down, and smells like sewage. It is right next to a Waffle House though!

So this is just fine for what it is. Clean and comfy bed, great breakfast. However if you are picky... maybe look for a more spendy hotel. There was visible spots left dirty in our bathroom... the mirror and toilet. And large unknown stains on the wall under the sink. Dust and rust on the soap/lotion dispenser as well. Did this impact our stay? Nope. Its what wed expect for a $100 a night stay. We would stay again.

The breakfast area was very hot it’s like the AC wasn’t working right. They had fans but they didn’t help. Also on my second night my hotel key did not work so I had to go down to the front desk where no was working and wait for about 10 minutes until a person arrived to reprogram my key. Not cool.

Everything was fine and met my needs. I think the property is starting to show its age. The Air conditioner could have been colder than it was able to cool the room. The room overall had a damp feeling in the room. I also noticed the hallways and common areas are still lacking appropriate HVAC needs.

Bed was not on par with chain standards, AC in main areas wasn’t working nor were computers or printers in the business center. Staff couldn’t print a receipt for stay from their computer either.

Walked in our room and check everything as I always do and there was poop residual on the toilet seat! Went back down to the desk and they moved us! Walked in that room and the quilt was cadywampus! WTH! Anyway the stay was fine for 1 night! Wouldn’t stay there again!

Very helpful and clean. We arrived at midnight and check in was smooth and the staff very helpful.

The bed was comfortable and the shower was excellent, two of the most important things for a hotel stay. The room was not cleaned well- one could see the dust under the TV table on that shelf, which had not been wiped in days. The worst thing about the stay was that the exhaust fan did not work; when you are showering in a small space, the heat builds up so easily and it was impossible to dry off. That should definitely be on the maintenance checklist, as well as the housekeeping checklist to report. The staff was fine and the breakfast was good.

Overnight stop at the start of a road trip. Front desk associate (maybe Carrie?) was extremely helpful and kind. Room was clean and the bed was so comfortable. I was leaving super early in the morning (technically before the breakfast area opened) I was still greeted warmly by the attendant opening that area, encouraged to grab a coffee (which I absolutely needed) and was offered yogurt or fruit or a bagel to take with me.

Great location! Nice to have an outdoor pool with the Tennessee weather!

It was nice they had an outdoor pool, that’s really the main reason we chose that hotel. The Rooms were clean and the beds are comfortable. We would definitely stay again

The staff was really nice, and tried to help. The TV in our room never worked. They came to our room 5 times, changing the remote, box, and batteries. I have an autistic child, and no TV was a major inconvenience. Apparently this is a common problem. I will not stay here again.

Everything was perfect for our short overnight stay while traveling. We will definitely make it our stop when passing thru again.
