Nice and new looking hotel. Great breakfast with many choices. Also good coffee. Clean room with nice beds.

Breakfast was not good. Coffee machine did not work correctly. There was a fire alarm evacuation but no one on staff told us what was going on. 1st floor lobby was full of smoke with no explanation or anyone on staff giving directions or help.

There was a loud banging noise every hour or so. I don't know if there was air in the water pipes or the building structure was settling. It was very loud, like a fire cracker.

Good hotel good management

The room was nice but I was surprised that La Quinta now requires a $75 a night deposit. That's something everyone needs to know when they stop there

We made a reservation for our daughter as she was driving to Denver from Chicago! She said it was perfect and very comfortable! She checked out early to get back on the road! Thank you!!

Boiling Eggs were out of date, taste was bad. Some morning breakfast food is also over expired. Why they treat customer like pigs?

Breakfast was ok. the hot items seems as if they had been out for awhile, not fresh. receptionist was quite standoffish. she checked us in but not friendly or welcoming. the different times we came through the lobby, she did not even look up to see/ask if we needed anything.

Beautiful modern hotel. Impeccably clean. Really good breakfast buffet.

Facilities seemed like new. Friendly helpful staff.

Easy check in and check out

Won’t be back. We tried to check in after the check in time and room wasn’t ready. Front desk wouldn’t give an estimate and told us that they had just gotten there and that they couldn’t help us. We had an event to go to and not having our room was an inconvenience. We paid a lot for the room as it was a busy weekend in town and were highly disappointed with our stay.

Solid hotel overall. The room was clean, nicely appointed, and very comfortable — no complaints there, and it's the main reason I'd stay again. Breakfast was the weak spot. The eggs and sausage were pretty good, but the potatoes were dry, and service ended at 9:00 a.m., which is earlier than the 10:00 cutoff most hotels in this range offer. If you're not an early riser, plan accordingly or budget for breakfast elsewhere. Would recommend for the rooms, with the caveat that you shouldn't count on breakfast if you like to sleep in.

Nice

This is a good solid hotel. Clean, helpful staff.. the room was huge! The breakfast was average. Its just about 4 miles from the University of Iowa Campus. So, if you are going to Iowa City for a football game, orientation etc, just realize you are an uber ride away from everything. That was the only complaint.

It wasn’t filthy but sure could use a deep clean. Grout in bathroom doesn’t look like it was ever cleaned. Lots of missing details in the cleaning and upkeep.
