SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western Coralville Iowa City

amenities were good. Excellent coffee. Pool is good Room was dirty. Filth on the floor. Window mechanism were broken. could barely open and close window. Window treatments were broken. Mirror on bathroom door was missing but fasteners remained and were protruding. The fasteners were nails and you could get snagged on them and cause yourself an injury. Mold and mildew around the tub. Shower water stream was weak.

Water leaking from the ceiling in the main hallway. Put us in the hallway with all the pet owners and it smelled horrible and dogs were barking all night every time you walk down the hall. Our room smelled musty and like mold and the air conditioner barely worked. Quite miserable really. Still waiting. On our deposit to bto be released, we cleaned up the room and didn't do any damage so there would be no reason. For them to keep it.

No hot water, showering with lukewarm water. No soap inside the room. Freezer section in refrigerator completely blocked by icing.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom needed upgrading.

Beds were clean. Bath tub had patch work, toilet was so low it was hard on the knees, nightstand drawer would not stay shut, breakfast was terrible. Fire alarm was beeping but gentleman did come up and fix right away.

Very poor

Good stay

Although this hotel was quiet, there are few other qualities worth mentioning. Avoid at all costs unless you have no other options.

The room smelled very bad. Everything felt wet. There was no sheets or blankets for the pull out couch. And only one roll of toilet paper.

Bathroom cleanliness was far from clean, water stained and dirt in every corner. Broken toilet seat with dried urine stains, shampoo etc empty. Neglected mattresses, old bedding. Just gross. Dirt in vents, dirty drapes and windows. Dirt in carpet and corners of room. Do not recommend. Absolutely disgusting,

Accommodating staff. Breakfast had a good variety of choices

Good for a solo traveler heading west.

I liked that it was close to the stadium Where do I start. The bed had stains, the shower was chipping paint and if you showered youd cut your feet. Same with the walls and everywhere else. The toilet lid was broken. And there was boogers/blood on the walls.

I stay at this hotel when in town for work.. slowing getting run down by not maintaining and spending money for upkeep.

Very poor

Shower was very slippery. Had to use a towel to prevent slipping. Overall ok stay. Place just showing some needs for a refresh. But ok just for an overnight stay

A redeeming fact was he staff was friendly.

The bed was absolutely horrible. Woke up with a terrible backache at 2am and couldn't go back to sleep.

Hotel staff was great helping us with a super late check in The room was disgusting!!! Hair everywhere in the bathroom on the floor, all over the shower and toilet! No body wash at all or other soap to wash up with.
