We checked in and immediately noticed a strong, unpleasant smell in the room. On top of that, there was active construction directly outside our window, and the noise was so loud we couldn’t stay in the room for even a minute. Given the combination of the smell, the construction noise, and staff refusing to offer any solution, we had no choice but to leave and book a different hotel for the night. We did not end up staying here at all.

Great hotel. Fire pit was the best at night. It looks like such a cute little Mexican village. Such an amazing ambiance. Worth the Black Friday deal 100%

Great location!

Old world character was lovely. Location was everything! Across the street from the beach and tons of great restaurants and shopping wothon walking distance.
-
Great location! Close to everything we needed. We had a two bedroom unit that had a nice living space and kitchen with dining room table. Worked well traveling with multiple adults.

The area was great, very accessible to the beach and restaurants. There were discount coupons for restaurants we didn’t learn about until we were leaving . Stairs were difficult for older people like me. Construction happening while we were there so it was messy in the courtyard. Room was fine. Plenty cool and clean.

The grand suite is big and spacious. However, it doesn’t have a pleasant smell and also it has bug bed. Both my husband and my child have multiple bites. This suit needs well maintenance.

This hotel is approx a 5 minute walk from the beach and close to all the action of shopping and restaurants. Everything is walkable. We even walked back to the hotel from the Ferry Landing - it was approx a 30 minute walk - basically straight down Orange Ave. We did not park in the offsite garage for $40/day, we continued to find street parking at 4 hours (very minimal spaces) and 2 hour parking. Parking hours are not in effect on Sundays and legal holidays. Sunday was our first day, so only needed to move the car on Monday before we checked out on Tuesday morning. We absolutely would stay again. 4-stars for the noisy construction going on that was not discussed at check in or noted in any email. They started EARLY both Monday and Tuesday mornings. Construction was in the middle courtyard.

We had a great 4 night stay in June. Cozy room, comfortable bed. Only negative was the construction of some kind happening outside of our bedroom window every morning. We are assuming renovations. The problem is that the ac unit was in the window, so no way to close the window. Otherwise, great stay.

I have been going to this hotel for nearly 10 years. They have nice accommodations, but the devil is in the details. It appears to me that the level of cleanliness

Great for families

Be aware 2nd floor rooms have some steep steps getting to room. Would definitely stay there again.

No elevators…offsite parking for an additional 40.00 a night…photos showed a stand up shower in my room but I ended up with a tub…heavy construction exactly at 7am on-site…location was nice…all rooms are right up against pool and if your looking for some peace and quiet this is definitely not the place. 1st and last time we will stay here.

Parking is a nightmare, they do not have enough parking per room. The staff was unhelpful and almost seemed annoyed. The ice machine was gross and moldy. The room was nice but there isn't housekeeping in the evening and they didn't come in to replenish the towels even though we had requested it.

The hotel hadn’t transferred the Expedia booking into their system, so they didn’t show they had a reservation for us. Took about 30+ minutes to clear that up. Parking was a mess. They assigned a parking spot, but someone was in it. Room was located over some shops and was noisy at night.

The location was excellent, the hotel was beautiful, the staff were so friendly and helpful. We used the pool, hot tub, laundry, etc. So close to everything-- restaurants, shopping, the beach, rentals of all kinds. There was construction type work going on in the courtyard but it didn't bother us. Beds were comfortable and rooms were spacious. Would love to stay here again!

All in all, I'd save the money for food & drinks and stay here if you're going to Coronado Island. Be aware it's a $40 a night fee for parking in a garage about 1.5 blocks away or you can try your luck in the nearby residential area.

Room had been renovated and very nice. Current construction was a little annoying but chose ro stay anyway because of the location and accommodating staff.
-
The room was very clean and well maintained the bed was cozy, but the property itself is just laid out in an old manner. Live and being well-maintained it's just so old that it's dysfunctional.. There was no elevator for our room. We had two alleyways connecting to our room where people would make noise earlyin the morning. The parking lot is a block away from the hotel. The pool was outdated and the restaurant was being remodeled. You can't beat the location. It's right across from the hotel Del Coronado. There's plenty of little stores and restaurants within walking distance.. there was no ballet or bellhop so you had to unload and haul your own luggage and park your own car a block away for an added fee.

Other than that: great location, Mexican place attached was decent, staff was nice, hot tub was good.
