Shore House at The Del, LXR Hotels & Resorts

We had a nice view of the ocean from our balcony. The staff who cleaned were wonderful most staff were very kind and greeted us in yhe halls. The issue we had was the air-conditioning was not working and nothing was done. The room was so humid I could not get my hair or makeup right for the wedding we were there to attend. A staff at the front desk said to open the sliding glass door to let the night cool breeze in the problem is there is no screens and bugs can get in the room and the balcony was shared with another room. I was told someone from management would call to make things right and that never happened. The humidity was so bad the facing on the closets and drawers was bubbled up and the bedding smelled musty and was damp. Staff did change the bedding for us but nothing was ever done about the air conditioning or the humidity. I really wanted to join their membership but with this kind of customer service we decided not to.

There was also a lot of noise from next door and room above: voices and running footsteps.

The Shorehouse at the Del Coronado has amazing views and a perfect location for vacationing in Coronado, California. We’ve always had amazing weather and very nice staff and visitors to meet. This tends to be our favorite vacation each year.

Beach view beautiful. Beach access perfect. Pool, hot tub and pool bar outstanding. Room cleaning staff the best on the planet! One great addition would be a bathtub in the rooms!

I've stayed at the Del several times, Beach House, the Views and now Shore House. People above us were partying hard. I'm not one to call in a noisy complaint, but the racket kept us up til 1am, even with 2 calls to the front desk. They comped us 2 days valet. Should have comped us the night IMHO.

The hotel was clean overall in both the public areas as well as the rooms. The staff was wonderful. Our only 2 issues, which is a big one for our family, were the beds and small rooms The beds were so uncomfortable & hard like a rock. The bedding was very flimsy . I have to make appointments with our chiropractor when we return home. Also, our room was very small and cramped. Other than those two issues, we enjoyed our stay.

Ocean view villa was deceiving when you primarily are looking at the pool, but there was a sliver if you look to the side. Room was nice but underwhelming. Location perfect for the long weekend, would stay again but probably wouldn’t opt to pay extra for ocean villa

Room was not clean on arrival, no working AC. Not as expected for the price of this property and would not recommend given the price point.

One of my best vacations! This is definitely a must visit property again and again!

Excellent housekeeping staff

Overall I was very pleased with the stay. The room/villa was very clean as was the entire property. The property and amenities were excellent. It was a mixed bag with the staff. The cleaning staff were very friendly and always very helpful, they were 5*. The front desk attendants were friendly and helpful but commonly in the back and not at the counter, especially at night. The valet at the shore house was fantastic, the valet at the main hotel were rude on the two occasions I had to use them (shore house valet stand closed at 10 during my stay). I would definitely bring my family back.

Everything about the property is outstanding!

The rooms, facilities, location and amenities are all wonderful. Great property for families. The 4 stars is due to the lack of staff at times. The breakfast buffet was delicious however, during peak hours there were many tables that were not cleaned timely which left us waiting before we could sit. The same was true when attempting to get service poolside. All the staff was so friendly and welcoming, it just felt like they were understaffed. Would definitely return.

The pool area really needs a makeover because the cushions are frankly pretty gross. Also, they clearly do not have anyone tasked with cleaning up the litter, meaning empty plates and cups, on a frequent enough basis. Avoid the breakfast - it's a $60 per person mistake. Go instead to the cafe Eno, but be prepared to wait in line 20 minutes. Other than that, I must say the hotel is perfectly located and generally stylish and historically important to the area. They just need to try a little harder.
