Hotel del Coronado, Curio Collection by Hilton

Our room was absolutely beautiful and very clean and quite lovely. Everything seemed quite expensive. The fact that there are no prices for any of the menus seems a bit absurd.; a little pretentious. And every single amenity was an additional charge.

First class all the way, great location, amazing remodel, fantastic restaurants and most importantly amazing service, this is the gold standard in hospitality.

Room was decently clean but there are clear remnants of large plots of sand in the carpet and the toilet was left with clear marks of prior use. The facility charges criminal fees for snacks and water so avoid if you can. $15 for a bottle of water is just robbery. Overall a decent experience but the entire facility severely lacks value for your money.

You have too many extra charges. Besides the parking fee your have two resort fees. This is excessive.

A fire alarm went off at 6am for two mornings in a row while we were there

This is intentionally done so the consumer cannot make a safe educated decision until they arrive at the hotel when a refund is no longer an option based on their policies. In all fairness...the water is tested daily for faeces and polluntants. So apparantely there is a level of faeces that is safe to swim in.

Beautiful hotel! We got in early and our room was ready at 12 and they got us an upgrade on our room which was a great surprise.

Beautiful historical building . However most of the rooms are in modern towers . We had a sea view which was lovely . Restaurant facing sea and beautiful beach We ended paying around £800 for a room with no breakfast . When I have paid that sort of money I expect to feel special I think arriving and being told it was some $ 40 ( can’t remember exactly ) to park or valet another $20 Did not leave you feeling great ! Then strangling to find parking and carrying your stuff to reception and to your room . Then in the restaurant to sit on sofas facing the sea a minimum spend of $ 175 . In the room no shower caps or bits . Everything felt like it was out to make money . Just felt that they were exploiting their name rather than giving true guest experience

Had a great stay here. Place was beautiful.

Best hotel and time I have ever had.

I have nothing negative to say. Our stay was wonderful. So many things to do if you want to take advantage. It was so relaxing which is very difficult for me to do. The beach area was nice and clean and so relaxing. There are various food places to choose from. Everyone was so nice and made us feel at home. I would come back in a heartbeat!

Clean room but small for the price. Staff was not four or five star service. We did not feel that we got the value for the price of the two night stay.

It’s absolutely beautiful and historical Screaming children at the pool

We had a terrible experience, on the day of our checkout we were lockout, went to the reception and reported what happened. Called the operator first but it took them forever to answer the phone. When I talked to the receptionist she asked for an ID before she can reactivate my keycard. We just went out for my daughter to swim thats why I have no ID with me, so she said the security will be with me to get into my room. I told her I will wait for the security in front of my room. It took them almost an hour to get the security and opened the door for us! I was so pissed because I told them to open the door quickly cause my daughter was wet from the pool. When the security came to open the door for us I can't see from him the sense of urgency! I was in a rush to get in the room because my daughter was freaking cold and I didn't even see from them the concern and being sorry for what happened!

Exceptional

It’s not the place for affordable lodging. That aside it was a great experience in every way.
