Staff was extremely nice and accommodating.

It's always a risk to book an affordable motel - you never know what you'll find. But the reviews were good so we took a chance. I'm glad we did! The room was clean and comfortable. The owners were friendly and helpful. When she gave me my key - an actual metal key on a plastic key ring! - she mentioned our room had a view. I thought, "Yeah, right." But it did! We could see Sleeping Ute Mountain out our window. Breakfast was nothing special, but it was nice to grab a yogurt and piece of fruit. We'd definitely stay here again.

The address that booking has is wrong. The beds are uncomfortable and the air conditioner was super loud.
-
The room itself was fine spacious clean and cool. There's a brand new refrigerator which was neat. The amenities were not great. The ice machine in vending machines were all either broken or not working. But those are just minor irritants. The property is a bit worn but for the price I was very happy.

The location was great, the Staff was fantastic and Joy was very friendly and helpful! Though the place was dated, the vibe of the place was very comfortable and reminded me of motels in years past. Great experience Nothing, the place was great

Staff was absolutely amazing & nice!

Sleeping Ute Mountain Motel is exceptional. Well-run, welcoming, a spectacular location, and some pretty darn good pastries for breakfast in the front office. Joy and Ty are wonderful; it helped that Joy and I had some similar points in our personal backgrounds to talk shop about! The WiFi isn't great, but that's literally the only drawback we noticed, and people don't exactly go to Cortez, Colorado for the go-go connectivity of the place anyway.

So friendly and helpful and she made great gluten free muffins! Nothing fancy but we really enjoyed this place especially for the price.

Joy was a very nice hostess and made sure we had what we needed. The room is older but they are updating over time. Even though on a main highway we didn't hear it at night which I appreciated.

A little on the worn side, though everything was clean.

Excellent family run motel. Super friendly owners — enjoyed chatting with them. Quiet side of town. On a huge property the owners encouraged me to hike on. Beautiful sunset views of Sleeping Mtn (looks like a person lying down). Comfortable beds and clean room. Great coffee in morning and yogurt/pastries. Good rates. Will be back! TV is older and had to use buttons on side.
-
Lovely room and the owners were extremely friendly! The canyon in the back was also fun to explore!

Friendly owners. Clean room.

Excellent stay. Owner/operators were incredibly kind and helpful. Rooms were clean.

We had a wonderful stay at the family-owned Sleeping Ute Mountain Motel. Joe went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable throughout our visit. The motel is in an excellent location, close to many local attractions, making it a convenient base for exploring the area. Our room was spotless and equipped with everything we needed. The breakfast offered a nice selection of fresh fruit and baked goods, providing a great start to each day.

The motel is a “work in progress “, but the hosts were extremely helpful and friendly.

Definitely an older hotel that is in need of some renovation. I will say the rooms looked and smelled clean. I spoke with the owner and she was so nice. She gave me the keys for a couple different rooms and said to pick the one I liked best. She was working on cleaning a room when we arrived. This place is nothing fantastic, but the location, price, cleanliness, and friendliness of the staff make it worth it.

Small family owned business running out of an older building. They have big plans for renovating and still offer large, clean rooms and a friendly atmosphere. Plenty of outdoor space to hang out, and the family is very nice and helpful. Gave us plenty of recommendation on things to do throughout our trip.
