Best Western Plus Newport Mesa Inn

Property was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good but the sausage tasted weird and burnt. Hopefully next time we stay at this property, the breakfast will be good like it usually is.

While the hotel is a bit outdated, it is well comfortable. What truly made the stay enjoyable was the exceptional staff. Check in staff was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful throughout my visit. His excellent customer service more than made up for the hotel’s dated appearance, and they created a warm and pleasant experience.

It was a pleasant stay and a nice surprise. Best option for a flight cancellation overnight stay. Bob was super nice too.

I was surprised how clean everything looked and felt for the location. Wish there were more dining options within walking distance & breakfast could have been taken to rooms with a little more choices, but I loved being able to take bath, use fridge (w/freezer section) as well as the microwave. The big screen TV w/ wide range of channels was also a nice perk. Oh, and the staff were just excellent in trying to accommodate our early arrival.

The room was clean, the hotel is pretty old, the continental breakfast was terrible. We ended up getting food at the grocery store for our stay. Wouldn't stay here again.

Adequate hotel whose most appealing attribute is its walkable proximity to the Orange County Fairgrounds and Pacific Amphitheater. Our room on the ground floor was nicely-sized, though it was quite dark. Included breakfast was meager: the three hot items offered (small sausages, potatoes, and overdone scrambled eggs) were served by an attendant. Made-yourself waffles and apples (only fruit provided) were available.

There’s nothing special about this place, but it does do the job. Overall the location was quiet. Pool was nice. People were very nice and helpful. Breakfast was what you’d expect, eggs sausage potatoes etc… we got 2 queen beds, but I don’t think they were queens, more like full. Also, not the most comfortable beds. Stayed for a water polo tournament in the area and got basically what we’d anticipated.

I most definitely would call this just a Best Western, not a PLUS though. It has obviously been recently carpeted and painted, but there's a lot of little things and a much nicer breakfast in order to be a BW PLUS compared to those we stay at. It is a very convenient area.

Went during the summer and had the wall air conditioner, it cooled down the room very good. Just make sure to shake off your pillow and blanket before laying down because I did get bitten by a spider, it wasn't too bad, just swelled up and very itchy! Breakfast was good, eggs, potatoes and sausage, they had 2 waffles makers that takes 5 minutes to make so it'll take a while to get if there's lots of people. Just a walk away from the OC Fair. Nearby gas station and Jack in the Box. Parking is pretty small and tight, but I believe there is an underground parking.

AC was very loud , house keeping stole my new 40 dollars sun screen , walls are very thin you can hear every thing from other rooms .they over charge me Don’t recommend them
