Newport Bay Inn

Is this fancy? No. Does it have a lot of amenities? No. But it’s comfortable and clean. We just slept and the beds were surprisingly comfortable. Met our basic needs. We stayed a weekend.

A wonderful stay! The room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, and the staff went above and beyond to help me. The location is great, too. Highly recommended! It is peaceful, and you feel like you are in your own sanctuary. It is near stores and restaurants, and parking is close to your room. It feels like you have your own studio with a refrigerator, a microwave, a TV, a nice room setup, and a nice bathroom with a bathtub and a shower. The air conditioner and heater work perfectly, and there is nice lighting everywhere.

Love the location. This was my second time visiting the motel and unfortunately room 10 I like is no longer a room I’d recommend as you can hear running water/pipes all nite long, like someone is taking/running the shower all night long. Mentioned this to the owner and I hope he can rectify the problem. Cute quaint motel which is close to the beaches and Fashion island, OC fair.

Great stay at Newport Bay Inn as always. My room was clean and cozy. Most importantly there are no bugs like some of the surrounding motels in the area.

No breakfast. Good breakfast nearby. Quiet. Basic amenities, but all essentials covered. Ac could have been quieter.

This is a very plain room. Best for quick stays and/ or if you do not plan to have any downtime in your room. The room, however, was very clean The lack of hangers or anything to set my luggage on was very frustrating. Since I stayed for more than one night It made juggling my wardrobe awkward

The location was excellent. The water was hot hot hot. They had a bath tub. A.C. worked perfectly. Cool mirror right next to the starter brothers market..

Great property good price and very clean. No issues

The room had a weird smell. It didn't smell clean eventhough it was very clean. The shower curtain had a small hole. Although I liked the mirror light settings, I wish the buttons were hidden. They shine very bright during the night. Also the window shutters let too much light through in my opinion. I would have prefered window curtains to block more light. When I asked the staff for some information about a local restaurant, they didn't know. That was dissapointing.

The property was great was clean and very comfortable and staff was great. No issue.

Very roomy, very dated, broken shower knob, thin windows close to the streets and noisy. But it was good for one night and the price was good.

Clean and beds was reasonably comfortable. People were diffident and appeared put out when engaged. No bedside lamps. No information given at check-in or in room about Wifi/password. Had to seek it out.

Good location, easy to find. Free parking spot included. Spacious room and comfortable bed. Owners very friendly and helpful. Nothing.

Good location and the owner was friendly. The price for what is given is great. Clean rooms and safe location.

Great location, renovated rooms, helpful staff. It's great for a quick stay! Insulation isn't good. I could clearly hear the person next to us and the TV multiple nights. I think there is also a family of birds in the vents on the roof as I could hear birds chirping all night each night.

Nice and convenient location. Reasonable price. Decent size fridge. Bad smell in the room. Mattress was not secured in any way to bed so it kept sliding around. No bedside light, no plug to charge my phone close enough to the bed. Could only see the TV from one bed, but 2 beds were in the room.

Good parking and all first floor

Very clean, well maintained
