Newport Bay Inn

I liked the mirror light settings. It was very convenient to have a small grociery store nearby. The bed was comfy and the room was clean. The room had a weird smell. It didn't smell clean eventhough it was very clean. The shower curtain had a small hole. Although I liked the mirror light settings, I wish the buttons were hidden. They shine very bright during the night. Also the window shutters let too much light through in my opinion. I would have prefered window curtains to block more light. When I asked the staff for some information about a local restaurant, they didn't know. That was dissapointing.

The property was great was clean and very comfortable and staff was great. No issue.

Very roomy, very dated, broken shower knob, thin windows close to the streets and noisy. But it was good for one night and the price was good.

Clean and beds was reasonably comfortable. People were diffident and appeared put out when engaged. No bedside lamps. No information given at check-in or in room about Wifi/password. Had to seek it out.

Great location, renovated rooms, helpful staff. It's great for a quick stay! Insulation isn't good. I could clearly hear the person next to us and the TV multiple nights. I think there is also a family of birds in the vents on the roof as I could hear birds chirping all night each night.

Reasonable price. Decent size fridge. Bad smell in the room. Mattress was not secured in any way to bed so it kept sliding around. No bedside light, no plug to charge my phone close enough to the bed. Could only see the TV from one bed, but 2 beds were in the room.

The room was very clean. Clean bathroom and shower. Bed was nicely arranged. Even though there was no closet space, that did not prevent my wife and I to experience a comfortable overnight stay. No complaints. Staff was very friendly. There are many shops and restaurants to choose. A very family friendly atmosphere. I would stay there again.

Well lit, newly remodeled, fresh and clean rooms. Simple but everything you need. Lighting in the room is bright white. warmer white bulbs or lamps would make it more cozy.

The room the we had was renovated and clean which was really nice! Close the grocery store and the freeway. Everything that you probably need about 15 minutes away.

It was clean at least I did not like how difficult it was to open the door. One of the bedspreads had a burn hole in it. The room was ridiculously sparse. The TV wasn't even big enough to cover the outlets or cables behind it. Only one chair was provided for a double queen room with a table barely big enough to eat at. The beds are rock hard. Whomever painted the bathroom did not tape off anything to prevent painting areas where the paint shouldn't be.

The unit was clean, and there was free parking. The facilities are too basic. We travel light and need to handwashing clothes occasionally and leave them to hang out to dry, but there were no hangers, and not even a couple of wall hooks in the unit. No bedside lights, just stark ceiling lighting; no coffee machine and only a tiny table with a single (office) chair.
