Clean/comfy beds. The property is well maintained. Staff is always friendly and helpful. I highly recommend.

Room smelled like cigarettes. Location seemed really sketchy.
-
Terrible location, lights are on and curtains barely block the windows and let a ton of light in. Breakfast was advertised but we were told they forgot to take it off the website. People were smoking in the parking lot all hours of the night and loud. Never stay there again!

Super comfy beds…

The place is expensive for what you get I wouldn’t go back,

To start out the Sunset Inn is in a Great Location . The room was clean when we arrived and the bed linen fresh and clean . It is an older motel so it definitely could use a remodel especially the floor but that being said then the price would go up so if you are a person who wants a hotel room like a Hilton hotel this isn’t it but if you are like us and enjoy surfing and the beach without spending an arm and a leg this is for you .

Look for the cockroachs. The sheets had blood and holes all over it. I have stayed at some awful hotels. But this was the worst
-
The room was disgustingly dirty we also booked way in advance asked for smoking . She tried blaming another coworker had switched our room . Tv didn’t work and the room she gave us she said we could smoke and we double checked . And the other night person informed us that she was not allowed to do that. Plus the room smelled when we walked in.

I enjoyed the stay and the fact that several places to eat and shop were close by.

The rooms were absolutely disgusting and extremely dirty. Food crumbs in every drawer, the blanket was burnt with a big hole in it, there was mucus in the sheet, the floors were dirty, the rooms stank, the shower and bathroom had urine all over. The stay at front desk was kind and extremely embarrassed by the pics and room conditions and issued refund.

Pillow and sheets were stained. Fitted sheet was about 70% torn. Towels have black stains as if they were used for cleaning prior. I read the reviews before I chose this place and it was not the case at all. Maybe it was just a bad room but yeah I don’t recommend.

The room was definitely nicer than I was expecting and quite spacious. The beds were very comfortable except for the terrible pillows, there were at least 4 on each bed and they were all flat and worn out.
-
Then they wanted a $50 deposit for in case we “caused damage” to the room. Really? We were going to bed and getting up and leaving at 7:30. Two 70 year olds without kids or dogs. I made a stink and he waived the fee but not without warning me THREE you better not mess with our room. So weird.

We got to the hotel in the evening and were told our room was actually unavailable because the air conditioning was broken. The clerk made some phone calls and offered us another room but this also did not have air conditioning. We asked for the reservation to be cancelled because they were not able to fulfill our reservation

First, what I will say is the staff was very nice and did with what they could. Our room's a/c was broken, but they offered fans, no problem. Our shower water was cold most of the time. The feature to plug the tub to draw a bath was not working. One of our towels was dirty on arrival, when I went to ask for an extra, I was told that they were not left with any clean towels for the day. Our hotel keys were demagnetized several times. The sheets had hairs/ dust. I appreciated the available parking. For the price, I could have probably stayed somewhere with better amenities. For a solo traveler staying for a night, maybe two I think this would fare well.

The staff was so helpful! They brought is extra towels and a roll away to make our stay more confortable. The hotel was a bit older and didn't have a working blow dryer, but very responsable for the cost.
-
The room was somewhat clean. Acceptable for me. The towels were not clean brown spots on them. The refrigerator froze all of my food. Air-conditioning worked well. And overall, I felt it was worth the money. Close to some good restaurants and not too far away from the beach.

Cheap and cheerful experience.
