Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Council Bluffs/Omaha

I stayed here because other reviews were good but I will not be going back. I reserved two rooms. There were dead bugs on the floors of both rooms. The AC didn't work well in one of the rooms. (and it wasn't even one of the really hot days.) The door wouldn't even unlock for us when we first got there. I stood at the front desk for about five minutes waiting for someone to tell while another customer was waiting to see if there were any rooms available at all. I finally went back to my room and called the front desk. She said she was upstairs fixing a TV in another room that wouldn't work. I took my grandson to the pool which was pretty small and there were no pool towels on the shelves but they don't want you taking towels out of your room. We didn't eat breakfast there. The eating area was really small and with how dirty the floors were in the rooms and the carpets in the halls we chose to eat out. In the last ten years or so staying in places, I have not had to think about a fridge being in the room because there is usually one there, not in these rooms. My grandson has insulin so I put it in the ice bucket to keep in cool. I hope others have better luck.

Super convenient and clean. Friendly staff. Totally smooth process and I even had a dog with me.

Do not waste your time and money going to this hotel. It was very dirty, the comforter and sheets looked like they had been reused multiple times, there was a funny smell in the room, and stains on the floor. We were tired after a concert and just needed the room to sleep, so we stayed there despite the issues. Plus, I had already prepaid for the room. Now move forward two weeks. I see a charge for a large amount on my bank statement for this hotel keep in mind I had paid through Hotels.com prior, not through them. They told me when I called that this charge was for damages to the room which couldn’t be further from the truth. I am a regular traveler with high ratings on every site that I use. I asked what damages specifically and they told me towels, washcloths, comforters, and sheets, which we didn’t even use. We used the room to sleep for just a few hours and then left because we had a 5 Hour Drive home. We did not even shower! So no need to use any of the towels or washcloths, and I brought my own blanket in, and slept on top of the comforter and my blanket, due to dirty sheets. So they basically told me that they charged me for damages that I did not do, towels that I did not use, sheets that I did not use, and washcloths that I did not use….what a joke. I am so extremely frustrated with this that I will be sure to let everyone know not to use this hotel. I have tried to reach out to the manager over the property and she will not return my calls or emails.

We loved the breakfast buffet. The staff was very nice.

Overall a great stay for a one-night stop! Elevator was a little scary and the hallways definitely had an odd smell, but the staff were great, and our room was clean and comfortable (but definitely “micro”)!

This property was good, clean and the staff extremely friendly. The complimentary breakfast was good. I will definitely stay at this facility again and I recommend it to anyone in the area.

Clean, modern and very affordable. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Only issue was I was charged for an extra day, but a quick phone call got that credited. Another good interaction with the staff.

Great place to stay when traveling with a dog.

The rooms were great and well maintained and great beds. Only small issues was not alot in selection of zero sugar drinks to purchase on the premises.

Really, really dirty and in desperate need of renovation. Our room smelled horrible, had broken plaster on the corners of all the walls, and was so grimy we didn’t even pull the sheets back, just slept on top. The bathroom floor was disgusting and there was urine all over the bottom of the toilet. It also didn’t seem like the safest parking lot, highly do NOT recommend.

Smoke free facility; however, our room smelled like cigarette smoke and weed one night.. We purchased room spray to help get rid of the terrible odor. Will not stay at this location again.

A dog barking from 9pm to 1200am, We could here the people upstairs, kids running back and forth in the room dropping something frequently, no sound barriers could here people in the next room.

The room was fine for the rate. But they charged us for missing pillows which were there when we left. We sure as heck didn’t come home with them. Staff was super unhelpful.

The air conditioning sucks in the hotel. Breakfast buffet sucked. Only one waffle maker bagels, food was cold bagels had mold on some of the bagels no meat at all. Not good !!!!

We checked in late (1130p) and had to be let in by the staff. The concierge was extremely friendly and made check in simple and pleasant (especially since we had a long night of travel). She definitely made an impression! Room was clean, and quiet aside from our neighbors. The breakfast was decent, amenities were nice, location was great for our needs. Staff was friendly as we were leaving as well! Definitely recommend, especially for the fair price!
