Courtyard by Marriott Pittsburgh North/Cranberry Woods

I stay in the area multiple times a year. Last time I stayed just a minute or two away at the Hampton Inn. The Hampton Inn was about 40% cheaper, the room was bigger and nicer, and came with free breakfast. And both elevators worked. The pool at the Marriot looked nicer than the Hampton Inn's pools in the pictures, but they were nearly identical.

The system situation is also a bit of an added problem. Coming in a 1AM and then a snail pace check in is a bit frustrating. Recommend passing on this one for the next 6 months or so.

Location and room was great. Customer service was poor. Not welcoming.

My room wasn’t ready after I already booked in advance had to wait for extra half hour. Gave me warm water for compensation.

Great location Weird layout of the room and not many extras for what you pay.

Staff was friendly and the room was nice but the floor was not very clean. It didn’t appear to have been vacuumed for quite some time.

Great pool and gym. Don’t offer great breakfast options. Our bathroom was dirty when we checked in. Manager was very apologetic and moved/ upgraded our room.

They said all the rooms were updated. I found the bathroom definitely needs updated. The closet where you hang your clothes was so short I had to hand my clothes over the door. Beds were very uncomfortable. Poor lighting in the room. Very disappointing for a Marriott hotel.

It was very good. Hot and delicious. The smell is the halls ways and rooms. Smelled old. Other than that it was very nice.

Clean and neat appearance The hallway on the 2nd floor needed vacuuming, when we walked into our room it had a funny smell. The bathroom shower needs reconstruction where the water doesn’t run out of the shower. The pillows were sooo flat and needs to be upgraded, it was not comfortable and the mattress needs to be updated. We were told that house keeping would come in and they never did, so trash was never emptied and we were needing new towels replaced.

Pleasant

There was a cleanliness issue with my room when I checked in. The staff was apologetic and promptly gave me another room. They also followed up to make sure the new room was more than satisfactory.

I checked in and they ran my credit card for the full purchase instead of an incidental charge. They said it wasn't showing me the room was paid for. Finally he decided to check the hotel email which should have been checked prior since I paid three days before check in. It was embarrassing at the desk. Our room had crumbs all over the floor and our shower didn't have a door on it. Very disappointing experience. The parking lot was full of mobile storage units and we couldn't find a parking space. There were families in for a hockey tournament and kids were running the halls. We have stayed at the Marriott on the same property and never had an issue.
