Courtyard by Marriott Dayton-University of Dayton

Technically there is a pool, but it's small and the waterfall doesn't work. There's a whirlpool, but it is out of order. There is a courtyard, but the fire pit doesn't work and cigarette butts were stuffed in the seats. There is a "bistro" but it is overpriced and low quality. The room was subpar. There was leftover food in the mini fridge, stains on the bathroom floor, the tv was small and stuck with a blue hue. The shower had hair on the walls, there was a curtain covering part of the wall, and the ice from the ice machine tasted odd. The front desk staff was courteous.

Great location and amazing staff! My room was clean, comfortable, and beautiful. However, the property needs maintenance. The pool was overfilled chlorine, the entrance door was rusted, and the jacuzzi was broken and poorly taped off. Also, my balcony was covered in spiders and cobwebs. The staff's polite and welcoming attitude made the stay pleasant, but the facilities definitely need some upkeep.

Beautiful rooms and friendly staff

The pool is dangerous. Rust everywhere decaying tile, ceilings, doors, ladders. There was even caution tape that looked liked it been around the hot tub for a year. The chemicals were so bad that one night we couldn’t swim because it burned. The chlorine smell was so bad that it would almost make you faint. We were there for four days and they never ran the pump or filter or heater. The rest of the property is drastically outdated. I wish I could upload pictures because it was deplorable.

Very spacious room, safe location. Free parking. Enjoyed our quick stay.

It was clean and very quiet. The front desk attendant, Zelma was a peach. We had to add another reservation on for one more day. I didn’t realize I didn’t book the same kind of room. Instead of having to change rooms she worked her magic so we could stay in the same rooms.

No major complaints. Clean room and amazing gym.

Property was clean, Courtyard was very nice. Close proximity to my appointment. Ample parking. Bistro was closed due to staffing, Toilet was slow to fill/flush. Staff was helpful with directions.

The property was nice right off the highway, super close to campus. Unfortunately it is a cashless facility which was not known until we arrived.

I ask for towels early that morning twice did not get them until 4pm . That evening

Not up to this group's usual standard. An old and loud AC unit was the most negative part of the stay. Staff were not rude but certainly not welcoming. We had to ask about breakfast times and other amenities - the answers were perfunctory. I was not welcomed as a Bonvoy member. Breakfast service was spotty - I ordered a breakfast burrito and received a sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich. As the only customer at the time, this was not someone else's order. None of these things by themselves matter much (except the AC), but in combination made the stay unpleasant. We won't go back and we wouldn't recommend it to others.

Rooms were very clean, cleaning staff very attentive, and front desk very courteous.

Excellent staff friendly service no problems. Whatsoever room was very clean. Very good temperature linens great slept great confused about breakfast situation but that’s not always clear as we booked the room at like 11 o’clock tonight would totally recommend especially due to the staff at night. I didn’t get her name, but she was very personable and had just been through a flurry of chaos with a bunch of people that came in and she was fantastic.
