Marriott at the University of Dayton

This property has great stock photos, but don’t believe the hype. The biggest disappointment was the pool. It was dirty. The filtration system wasn’t working. The water was cloudy and my husband spent a lot of time picking hair and bugs out. The hot tub was the same. It’s the only reason that we booked at this hotel as opposed to others because of the indoor outdoor pool. There was a dog in the pool as well which normally I wouldn’t mind, but the pool was already dirty. There was oxidation all over, and when the staff came to clean the room, they just pulled the covers on the bed and took away the dirty towels. The best thing was the server in the concierge lounge. She was an Asian woman who was very accommodating and kind and went above and beyond. When I told the front desk about the pool they sent someone to just scrape off the bugs but on the inside pool only. They didn’t come to the outside pool. I wonder how many health regulations were broken because the filtration system was not on.

Great stay for a weekend that was thrown together really quick

All staff were welcoming and friendly. They promptly handled special requests and went out of their way to make us feel special.

The room was very clean and comfortable This hotel has a a lot of extras too. There is an indoor/ outdoor pool Weight room and laundry room.

This hotel is convenient for a short drive to the UD Arena. He costs a little high. The parking is convenient and the bar and restaurant are good options.

The Front Desk customer service was excellent !! Both young ladies went the extra mile to " assist and resolve ". And as usual the relaxing bed was simply marvelous. I have no complaints

I would recommend this hotel to my family and friends. The only thing I was not pleased with was linen due there was stains on them. I requested a clean set at the front desk, and the housekeeper brought me a clean set immediately. The staff was very friendly. This hotel was 5 minutes from the event that I attended. Also it was nice hotel.

Well, when we first got there, we showed up an hour and a half after check-in and they did not have a room ready for us told us just to hang out in the hotel lobby, which made us late for our event when they finally found us a room they gave us the key and we went up to the room and opened the door and there were two people in there, having sex, screaming at us for opening the door we went downstairs. They told us they didn’t understand who was in the room or what had happened we stood around again. They offered to upgrade to the concierge level, but I had already paid for that. The hotel was extremely noisy and then I got a mystery charge on my bank account for $90 for no damn reason after I checked out no nothing and the trip had already been prepaid four months ago so will be contacting them immediately. Just ridiculous.

Needs new carpet and comfort height toilets

Room was great. Clean and comfortable. Nice restaurant. Staff very accommodating. Shout out to Todd Jania, and Kaitelynn. Very pleasant and helpful. One drawback. Paying for items from the snack area. No separate area for paying or charging to room. Have to pay at front desk so have to sometimes wait for someone checking in or out. Otherwise everything else outstanding. Will definitely be back.
