Courtyard by Marriott Chicago Deerfield

A dated hotel but clean and expansive grounds which means long walks if your room is on the far end.

Room was quiet. Staff were very friendly, polite and helpful.

Staff were super friendly and helpful. The building is having some construction to improve accessibility but that did not affect our stay. Quiet rooms.

The room was neat and very clean. Comfortable bed and pillows.

The hotel room was musty smelling, the AC was terribly at cooling the room down. The carpet was filthy. The bed was very uncomfortable. There is no elevator. Would not stay here again.

One evening around 9:00 PM, I went to the bar hoping to enjoy a nightcap. The bartender was away cleaning a room, and when she returned to the lobby, she never acknowledged us or asked if we wanted anything. Instead, she simply removed the candles from the tables. At that point, I decided not to order a drink. The bigger issue was with my room. I had a "Do Not Disturb" sign on my door because I did not want anyone entering while I was away. When I returned, I found that someone had entered and only partially cleaned the room, despite my request for privacy. This stay was disappointing, especially compared to my previous experience. Because of these issues, I won't be staying at this property again.

My check in was at 3 pm, told us to wait to get our room cleaned we waited,for about 2 hrs went back our room was not ready , only checked in at 7:45 pm .

From the parking lot to the room everything was very clean and organized.

New or renovated looking. Well maintained and clean and reasonably priced. I would stay there again.

No breakfast included for the price.5 The facility is very old and more construction work inside the facility.

This location does not have an elevator. Even though it's just 2 stories they still need an elevator. No breakfast. The courtyard was under construction so no access.we had a balcony,however no chairs were on the balcony. The doors to the rooms slammed unless you held it. It was construction debris in the front of the building. Not a fan of this location. Highly NOT recommended!

Otherwise the Property is good, it’s very dated the inside of the rooms! Some rooms have Microwave's & some do not, NOT OK! But it’s CLEAN & the Front Desk Staff is GREAT!

After purchasing this reservation months in advance, upon arriving, the supervisor asked me to tap my card for a $20 incidental "hold" charge that would incur each day. After doing this, I was charged $240 dollars. She said I needed to tap my card (3 more times I did this with each time saying "Approved" on the device) to which she assured me that the hold is only $20 per day. It is now 4 days after I checked in and over a day since I've left and still have $261 on "hold" against my checking account (3 separate holds for $1, $20, and $240. ) After calling the property, the assistant general manager told me that the general manager is out of town on a conference but she can e-mail him to see if he has time to authorize a release on the money they should have never taken in the first place. I'll get an e-mail from her I was told when she hears back from him..... If this is how Mariotts are run, they have now lost my business forever. The staff here does not care about inconveniencing their customers with horrendous overcharging nor take immediate action when it occurs to solve it. They wait for the complaint then yell at you on the phone that they can't do anything about it and will get back to you whenever.

Quiet place, nice location

Overall, is a clean place and function. I definitely will stay again. I wish breakfast are included. But that’s not important
