Baymont by Wyndham Downtown Detroit

Everything was good I just thought I would be having breakfast now bacon and eggs just pastries, fruit and juice and coffee.I just needed more silent breakfast

It needs to be updated and cleaned a little better and take the old tubs out of the rooms

It was very hot in the building, there were random people in the lobby just sitting. It smelled bad.

Nasty, filthy, disgusting and very terrible location. Do not book

The room was dirty! The sink had blonde hair all in it. The toilet was not clean you could see the rim of mold from the door. The toilet itself was extremely low to the and loose. The bathroom sink was LOOSE! Our room door did not LOCK! We had to use the door stopper. The entry door we went into to get to our room was unlocked all night as well. Never needed key access to enter the building. There was NO AIR IN THE HALLWAYS AND NO ELEVATOR. The smell was terrible. The air in the room had to be at 60 to be tolerable. The hotel was a complete dissatisfaction I went to the front desk first thing to get my money back and have an early check out. There was no way I was staying there again. It was completely unsafe and not up to par. The front desk receptionist were nice and helpful. But that hotel needs some serious work.

The room and building were very tired looking and dirty. The outside door was unlocked so people could come inside the hotel without going through the reception area. We did not feel safe.

The hallways were blasting with the heat on during a 100° heatwave. The safety lock on our door was broken. The bathroom toilet was leaking water all over the floor and the shower was dirty. There was a dead bug in one of the cups. But the parking lot was a plus and the front desk girls were delightful.

Clean and cool

This property is a hot mess. The AC didn’t work. It has been 100 degrees for over a week. When we called down to the front desk we were told to give it a minute. They let us check out without charging us but this is not the Baymont that I expected.

This property was badly managed - no manager on site to support with concerns. The manager did not follow up with a call back as requested. Room not cleaned as requested, phone in the room did not work. No secure front door for safety. Hotel is used by the local folks in the neighborhood which seems like and extended stay property. Drinks sold out and not refilled in the vending machines. The front desk staff try their best and clearly follow what they are told to say to the customers.

Overall, we were let down not disappointed.

Definitely the worst option for summer.

Staff was pleasant but facility was in poor condition. Booked two rooms. Both smelled of smoke (in non-smoking rooms), carpeting was very old, bathroom in one room was beat up and tub/shower had missing grout and caulk. Toilet looked like something from a prison and sink was clogged. Furniture was old and worn out and bed mattress was lumpy. I would rather sleep in my car than stay here again.

Room had a strong lingering odor, perhaps cleaning fluids? Bed was comfortable, breakfast was very good. Very dated facility, tight spaces, surrounding area was a bit worn-down.

The staff was friendly and helpful. It wasn't that clean.

The hallways were clean The room was dirty. The carpet not only had crumbs and was not clean under the bed had old food under. The bathroom floor had things on the floor the room was completely run down and the air unit was absolutely horrible. The room was so dusty my sinuses are still a mess. I added my I.D to the account and put a card on file they still needed that what was the point of uploading. More like a motel than hotel. Very unhappy
