Baymont by Wyndham Downtown Detroit

From the first moment I pulled in, I felt the welcome . I was greeted by Shawn with the nice colored hair. She made sure I had a good parking spot for my truck and trailer . Then the great hospitality followed. It was a peaceful stay. Thank you so much Shawn and Baymont. I would come again. I wasn't able to keep my tub stopped up in order to soak.

The location was very close to downtown, everything was a quick drive and close to riverfront park to get some nice views. The whole hallways of the building was extremely hot, AC thankfully worked inside the rooms but there’s no elevator so you have to walk up multiple stairs in very hot hallways.

Absolutely nothing!!! Gross!!! Room, halls, and lobby are disgusting!! Everything smells terrible! There was literally dirty bedding in the hallway windowsill our whole stay!!! Unsafe!!! Outer doors are not locked at all! There was a visible gap under our door to our room!!!

Was closed to Belle Isle. The hall was hot as heck/muggy. In the parking lot there were groups gathered taking pictures of half naked girls leaning on their cars, playing loud rap music, parking lot did not feel safe. Nor did the area.

NA The bed frame was broken, hallways dirty and hot, tile in the shower was falling off. The clerk wasn't helpful. When I asked about the shuttle, they were no help. Overall just a poor experience.

I picked this hotel as it had the free shuttle near Comerica Park where we went for the concert in town that night. The beds were comfortable and the shower had really hot showers. The room was small and the curtains wouldn't close properly so light came in and didn't make the room totally dark. The hallways were so hot it felt like they had the heat on. The carpets were dirty and smelled awful. For the size of the hotel the breakfast area had only 4 or 5 tables.

The outside door was broke and unlocked for anyone to walk in. The tub had soap scum, hair, oh and water still left in it like someone had just finished! The metal soap holder in the shower was caked with soap residue and still had a sticker on it from a previous soap bar. The hairdryer caught a little fire then black smoke came out. There was no counter to put our toothbrushes or anything. There was stains in the carpet that looked like blood and one of the comforters had black spots on top of it! I wanted a refund and waited patiently for a week to hear back through email but since they didnt I will be posting this review everywhere for them to see. And I hate leaving bad reviews! But DO NOT STAY AT THIS PROPERTY! The city of Detroit was cool though!
