Situation versus les stades MLB et NFL

The room was clean and good location as we were there to see a Lions game. I booked a king room and called ahead to see if we could park there a little early because the game started at 1 and check in was at 3. They said no problem as long as there was space available. When we arrived they said it was going to be ridiculous amount to park overnight. Nothing when I booked or called ahead said it would be extra to park. When we checked out they ended up charging my card double the price that I was quoted when I booked. I would never stay there again. I have reached out to management about the issue and have heard nothing back.

Found dark long hair in the sheets. The phone in the room was disgusting and had not been cleaned in ages. Luckily had disinfectant wipes to clean it. Had to use it to speak to the front desk. No pens or paper to speak of. Rooms need updating and you can hear the construction going on outside of the hotel. There is no security for the weight and treadmill room. The elevator was hit or miss on needing to use your key to use it. So much for safety there.... The staff was nice and polite. The prices are too high for what it is.

The valet crew and front desk crew specifically were so kind and friendly. Everyone was so welcoming. Really enjoyed our stay.

Location Location Location...that's about it. Go for Lions, Tigers, and buddies pizza but don't expect a lot more. For sure, don't let them put you in room 220 unless you want detroit's largest A/C air handler for a roommate. The breakfast is very good with protein and also bakery items that were mostly fresh...especially the croissants.

Very clean. Loved how walkable it was to get to the stadium, casino and restaurants.

Burnt ribs. Spoiled side dishes. Pasta hard and cold. Raw chicken wings.... No comp. No fan in bathroom No extra toilet paper or tissues. Great pillows.

Rewrite this survey. I enjoyed staying at the Hilton Garden. It was really convenient in the downtown area of Detroit, being able to walk to different restaurants, take in the sights. Most enjoyable. I recommend it to all, if interested.

Big shout out to the maintenance man....he came and was able to fix the broken toilet and broken air/heater unit.

In general, it was an ok hotel. The room was fine—perhaps a bit dated in style, but fully functional. We also had a great view from our window. Unfortunately, they engage in deceptive billing practices (maybe this is common in the US, but surprise to someone from the EU). I had a booking with breakfast included, yet they charged me for it again on the final bill. They also added a charge for a "special request" that I never made, nor was I ever notified of such a surcharge. When I contacted them about these extra fees, they went completely silent. Thankfully, a bank chargeback is an option, though I am currently processing my claim via Booking.com first. Setting the billing issues aside, the breakfast was terrible. I imagine this might just be standard for the US, but there were no vegetables aside from some processed potatoes. Since we follow a pescatarian diet and generally avoid meat, we had a very hard time finding something to eat. There was absolutely nothing offered for vegans and barely any options for vegetarians.
